WTF !!!!!!!! How is Bulleen losing an upset, they've hardly troubled the "points" table at the minute, and how would Boronia beating Hawthorn also be such an upset mate, they (Boronia) are a pretty good side and probably should have won on Saturday against them as well, went to the last two balls of the day ! Don't underestimate them !! Actually, keep underestimating them , it's been working well for many !!
Such biased opinions by the usual !!

OK. Just calm down big fella. We're all just voicing opinons here... Nothing to get your nickers all in a knot about.

Bulleen losing is defintely an upset for mine - Last years runners up losing to a side that barely keeps there head above water in A-Turf.
Boronia is also an upset, albiet to a lesser extent - Losing to the same side on saturday they wouldn't have gone in as favorites and while playing very well they are still a club stepping up a grade playing against a long standing Dunstan quality club.

East Donny losing to sythetic side Boorondarra is probably the biggest upset for mine, although it doesn't look like they had a full strength side.

Ok people, I am officially putting Adam Slack on notice this game. I have been a supporter of his on this forum, and you will all agree, there is no question on the ability and class this bloke has. But with 81 runs @16 in 11/12, the time is NOW for this bloke to stand up and punch out a big score this game. I am giving him a fortnight to deliver on the potential he has and punish the GI attack this Sat and then tee off on Melb Deaf in the next T20. If he fails on these two assignments, I will put my hand up and say I was wrong. But seeing this bloke first hand crucify our attack, u cannot keep a good player down so watch out GI & Melb Deaf. 2 weeks A Slack, deliver or I am off the wagon!!
I think you might be setting yourself up for a fall. If he misses out against Melb Deaf it might be time for him to enjoy the 2s.

Kop, don't be a fool. Boronia, although they're going well (not bottom), they're not as good as Hawthorn, in my opinion and I think Hawthorn will finish above them, hence it is an upset. And for you to say last year's Dunstan Grand Finalists getting beaten by an A Turf side isn't an upset, you're on something.

Brave man tipping Ashy and Marcellin there prospector. my tips below
Deepdene v Ashy -
Boronia v St Kevs -
Mulgrave v GI -
MA v Marc -
Bulleen v ED -
RC v Hawthorn

Fair call, but I stuck it to MA ealier this year season, so sticking by my earlier (but maybe incorrect) call. As for for not picking Deepdene, Ashy bats may well do to them what GI bats did a couple of weks ago.

Maybe, but MA looked like they touched up Ashy on the weekend and you've not picked them AND picked Ashy. Deep for mine. Good bowling attack.

Whatever you're smoking XXXX... Save some for me!

I don't know why you are continually talking about Slack. Not sure if you caught the drift, but not only do not many people in this forum rate him at as a cricketer, but quite frankly, no one really cares how he goes on or off the field. If you want to continue having wet dreams over the bloke that's fine, but keep him off the forum cos no one gives a rats toss bag!
Harshbutfair, u obviously have an issue with Slack. I get the feeling u have been on the receiving end of some stick from him when in full flight out in the middle, and fair to say, u wouldn't be the only bowler to have been teed off on from slack. Give him a chance, he has two innings to prove all u doubters wrong. U don't make a 200 at premier level if u can't play the game. Watch this space....

Hmmm well things are heating up in here that's for sure. Hoping we have some good weather on the weekend. As for the Slack debate, don't know him, don't rate him, don't care lol. Picks for the weekend below. I think this week will definitely start to break op the ladder. If you are in the four b4 Christmas, you are hard to knock out.

Deepdene : Think Parsons and Hoare will deliver with big Dino being the bogey
Sty Kevs : playing good cricket at the moment with even Crawford firing
GI : Match up the round for me as the team that loses is up the creek. Looks like GI's form is back
MA: Marcellin will put up a fight but last weeks win will give MA plenty of encouragement
ED : If they get porter game over
Hawthorn : Tonguey and his band of merry men to continue the good form.

Did Slack make a District 1s 200? Who for?

I don't have any issue with Slack at all. I have never really had much contact with the bloke at all. The main point from my original comment was that no one in this forum (exept you obviously) really care so it's annoying to take up space in this forum talking about him

Well first and foremost no one has been on the recieving end from Slack when in full flight. You have to make runs to be on the recieving end. His highest score is 110 in district so where you got 200 from i don't know. (200 in backyard cricket doesn't count)

Rain forecast late and with the heat ball may swing.
First warm day in the field after possible morning showers. Could be interesting decision if you win the toss.
Boronia, Bulleen and Mugrave will interesting if there is humidity around.
Availabilities seem to be an issue of late for some sides. MA and Hawthorn are my best bets this round.
Big question: Will Bulleen open their account

It'll just be nice to see a red ball running around. Humidity will be a ************** to field in, so should suit the batting team. Ball will swing, early, but if it's wet the balls may get a bit chopped up. I do think that the toss will play a big part in the games and the long range forecast is for good weather next week. I think there might be some interesting results. A swigning ball certainly favours Davidson, Tongue, Hargraves and Swift, so I'll be keen to see how those sorts of bowlers go if they bowl. Let's just enjoy it all and fingers crossed for good weather!
