EurAsia cup Pakistan ‘A’ vs Holland 'A'

Raza leads a strong Pakistan team against Holland

Match Four of the BSNL EurAsia Cricket Series sees Pakistan ‘A’ come out for the first time in the six-nation tournament here at the Zayed Cricket Stadium today(04/25) at 2.30pm.

They take on the Netherlands in a Group B clash expected to be one-way traffic for the ICC Full Member State, and not a contest that one would anticipate when the two clash on the hockey field. Hassan Raza, the youngest Test cricketer to play for Pakistan senior team, leads the country’s ‘A’ side that includes eight ODI internationals waiting for a recall to the senior squad.

The Netherlands, in contrast, are below par and arrived without half their 2007 World Cup squad. They are expected to struggle as they did against India ‘A’, who pounded them by 202 runs on matchday two on Sunday.

Teams: Pakistan from: Hassan Raza (Captain), Yasir Hameed, Toufeeq Umer, Muhammed Hafeez, Bazid Khan, Misbah ul Haq, Shahid Yousuf, Mansoor Amjad, Zulqarnain Haider, Tahir Khan, Umer Gul, Muhammed Irshad, Yasir Arafat, Samiullah Khan.

The Netherlands from: Jeroen Smits (Captain), Daan van Bunge, Tom de Grooth, Kashif Hussein, Alexe Kerveze, Pieter Seelaar, Atse Buurman, Peter Borren, Eric Swarzinski, Mudassar Boukhari, Mautits van Nierop, Ernst van Giesen, Mark Jonkman, Mohsin Ghaznavi.
