mate i didnt play this week but was at the game. your probably right im probably being a bit harsh on the state of the wicket but it was a 4th day pitch wasn't it? but the pitch didnt really wasn't at fault for any dismissals i spose.

on the other hand it seemed like the umpires had somewhere to be by 4.30 some of the decisions had everyone scratching there heads
yess i agree... 1 north shore bloke.. very unlukky.... hit on the thigh.. no thigh pad.. and had qa decent bruise there... the ball ballooned up to gully.. the catch was taken.. and given out caught.... bat nowhere to be seen... very poor umpiring

as for a 4th day wicket... we could play another game on it next week... no problems with teh wicket.. each week they bring it up to top standards and i think they were even rolling it on sunday morning... so we'll just push that statement aside from now on

ok mate point taken, by the reaction of some batsmen there seemed to be a few dubious lbw's given aswell. but the great thing about the bears is altough it may not be the most attractive cricket there's never a dull moment when they play! would have thought majority of the fair sized crowd out there yesterday would've got value for money seeing 25 wickets fall in just over 4 hours of cricket

I wonder if Grant Dew still sits the tribunal, I remember when I was in there a few years ago he was the main man.

Garnt Dew is the Chairman for the tribunal Wednesday nite as we have a hearing in regards to the Geelong West Stabber. Told me last week. So not looking good for The big fella. I would be asking for a miss trial if he was sitting there.

my effin oath id ask for him not to sit on it as it is surely a conflict of interest, but im betting this will be another great chance for mr dew to impart his ego and power over the competition, bloody joke GCA. could be a good idea to get colin dempsey to fight his hardest for you. good luck.

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat

What did Babies Arm actually do? Was there any physical contact or just verbals?
If Noel Kelson can get off for bashing people in the face with his bat then surely there's hope

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat

How many of the St Albans A Grade side are dropping down to play Bs this weekend? Or are you all saving yourselves for the 20-20?

Sean Braniff is playing two's so he can qualify for Sunday, need two club games under your belt to be able to play in the 20/20.
And Matt McKay is going down to have a good bowl + he loves cricket too much:D:D
Thats all I think, not sure if your aloud to drop anymore than two.
