gca ipl why did Conan Roos leave Barwon Heads to come back to South? And where will he play this week?

you can take the boy out of the swans, but you can't take the "cheer cheer" out of the boy !!

dunno where he will play but will be pushing close for selection in the seconds, but would definetly be looking to play seconds after the new year to give him one game to settle in.

guild boys a bit cocky hey? the blokes i know all play 2nds and they were really talking it up how guild will smash em blah blah blah. modda had a slow start to the year but are starting to hit there straps. they'll be very hard to beat id imagine

haha like who? radoslav and hunt?
how is what i said cocky mate? i'd tohught it was anything but cocky.
i said right from the beginning, and feel free to go back through my posts, that this year will not be a struggle for us, until we play modda and teesedale, both of whom are more than capable of giving us a right rogering

hey badger you looking forward to getting an allmighty towelling from the mighty warriors this round? got a few mates out at guild and i cant believe some of the tripe thats been coming outta there mouths. I think they'll be in for a rude awakening this sat. Also just a question for anyone who cares, who would you prefer has a bowling line up- s.lee's g.stripling d.middleton or m.caufield a.fergusson z.carroll? i think its pretty obvious but my guild mates talk there line up up like its marshall holding and ambrose

Suspect the Modda boys might have the edge. Hardly a frightening attack down Friers Oval way

Didnt mean wat you said was cocky was asking you if you thought they were being cocky? dont wanna give myself up but its not radoslav and hunt, think of guilds 2's captain last year,a ginger head who bowls ordinary spin and a bloke who travels down from melbourne to play. You know who im talkin bout now?

Re: Geelong Cricket Chat

ok this is not a crack at the thomson cricket club as i applaud them for accepting a match at this time. this is also not a crack at the newcomb players. this is a crack at the decision makers at the newcomb cricket club.

you organised to have a game played on the sunday at our club. our ground is in probably the best nick out of all the grounds in gca division one, and the deck has proven that it can hold up over the extra days, as seen in the past few rounds. why at this last stage would u change a planned game to a division 2 ground? when its already organised?

in my opinion, if you cant get a ground up u should forfeit the home game anyway. there is no advantage to us playing at north, its a ground, what difference does it make. so why change it? as most clubs probably do, we have our christmas party planned for the sunday after the last game before christmas, which now is completely destroyed with the firsts having to play at thomson.

rant over

btw now that im going to be at thomson sunday, if i dont see rissole and a for effort with cans in there hands all day i will be even more mad than wat i am right now.

only the other day rissole had sed that thomson has a fairly good deck.. but not as good as the divi 1 clubs... and now newcomb goes and does this...
ants dont say ur not having a crack at newcomb players.. stuff em.. all this home ground advantage stuff... its all "bs" i rekkon... playin at north is not an advantage.. nor a disadvantage to either side... just sooks

as for the thomson club.. well wont there bar taking rise plenty as of about 20 past 1 on both sundays

yeah they don't have a bad side, but have not been going as well as they could have been going. A few good players in their side though. Sam Carr (2nd XI), Danny Phillips (3rd XI), Luke Gorman (3rd-4th XI), Ross Fagan (5th XI), and Dylan Mulgrew (5th XI) are all regular senior players with some pretty good potential, add to this Chris Primmer (decent paced bowler) and Eamonn Vines (Geelong College most weeks but that has finished) they should go alright. In saying that a 20/20 game in the U17's when some of the kids have not developed slogging power comes a very even game with one or two batsmen getting away can swing the game. But there is some good Swans coming through the ranks for sure.

I can't watch Koliba bat anymore, brings back bad memories of a certain drop catch.

So in that case i am watching a for effort wash his hair.

Looking at the wicket last night, it will be a cracker.
Finally got some decent couch grass coverage and the wicket will have plenty of bounce.

Might not suit your stump-to-stump skidder's Ants ;-] Koliba will love it, he'll be giving you the Virender Sehwag off his hip through forward square.

ah ok. so you're taking the word from 3 blokes that don't play one's, on the performance of a first XI team? i don't play one's, i'm not talking them up. i'm being realistic and honest. i've said all year that the only team that will come close to us is modda, and now i'm saying teesdale as well.
it only takes one player to steal a game, and modda have at least 3 good players that can steal a game ( a. fergusson, z. carrol, m caufield )
i personally believe it will be the grand final preview.

youve got nothin to worry bout with carrol and caufield. carrol will turn to sh!t and he has poor leadership qualities and wont look past his mates. and caufield has will turn to spin if getting smacked then even have a sook to zane about them being sh!t, it blows me. but fergie is the key but he could be left high and dry if no one stick around him at the crease

ScummVM is also good. It emulates a lot of classic game engines like Sierra's AGI (Police Quest, Space Quest etc) and the Lucasarts engine (Monkey Island series)

i'm pretty confident with out guys bowling attack, even though all these guys on here think they're sh.t. on turf, good seam attack, and whether you guys think or not, leesy is very sharp and a good bowler, which fergy probably hasn't faced in southern leigh yet.
and as for zane, when i was playing 1's and he was at murghe, i faced him, he's a quality bowler.. dunno about his leadership skills, but as for with the ball i rate him.
dunno about caufield though as stated, never seen or faced him.
