Guess What I'm Watching Tonight 🎥

I watched a horrible movie the other night. It was aboit an evil serial killer in Alaska. It was called "Frozen Ground" and I only watched it for its great cast, including Nicholas Cage who is always brilliant. Based on a true story it sent shivers up my spine.

I'm watching "Tracy: A Force of Nature." tonight.
It's about the devastating cyclone that destroyed almost all of Darwin, the main city in Australia's Northern Territory.

from Wiki:
Severe Tropical Cyclone Tracy was a small but destructive tropical cyclone that devastated the city of Darwin, in the Northern Territory of Australia, in December 1974. The small, developing, easterly storm was originally expected to pass clear of the city, but it turned towards it early on 24 December. After 10:00 p.m. ACST, damage became severe, with wind gusts reaching 217 km/h (117 kn; 135 mph) before instruments failed. The anemometer in Darwin Airport control tower had its needle bent in half by the strength of the gusts.

One of my lately deceased mates worked on the reconstruction as a TA to his Chippy Dad. trades assistant to his carpenter father
Australia as a whole rose to help in many ways. I've caravaned to Darwin. Hot and humid with night temps ~30C in their winter! 😳
Many lessons were learned from that disaster, especially re building codes.
