WE had an idea that the way the M/C had been conducting themselves, and at our first meeting they completley lost us when
they threw up their hands and just threw some numbers at us and said "the comp was finished" not one of them stepped down
and asked if someone from the floor could do a better job!! t was " The comp is screwed go back yo your clubs and work out what you are going to do"!! Obviously thier actions since' has validated our position!! If we had stayed' the HDCA would still be around! but they had their own agendas!!

You must have some sort of disability if you think the HDCA clubs are doing their own things because last i heard all the clubs accept Banyule have made up their minds. Unfortunantely for Rosanna you'll be stuck playing 2nd grade next season and when you'll be seeing the likes of Rosebank Heidelberg Edinburgh play Keon Park and co thats when it will hit Rosanna that they too could playing against the best in the Northern Area yet you've taken the road to play sides situated along Yan Yean RD in a 2nd grade comp. I'll tell you right now i'd love to see where Rosebank and Heidelberg will be sitting at the start of next Season as opposed to your Club because i'll gurantee whatever you want they'll be playing in a Better COMP than MONEY shield and maybe even BARCLAY. So if your thinking clubs in the HDCA are doing their own thing because it would be music to your ears if it was sorry to spoil your TUNE.

I'll guarantee you that if rosebank apply to join diamond valley , they won't be in Barclay shield in their first year. They will be forced to do their penance like every other club that has joined over the years and start in money shield.

There has been a push by DVCA people to try and lure Rosebank CC over on the proviso of having a junior program. DVCA believes that by having them in the assoc, it can truly form a super comp without having to merge in anyway with another comp, which was previously agreed to in principle. They would add strong senior teams with first class facilities. If DVCA manage to pull this off, they surely can boast to having one of the most powerful comp's in Metro Melb. There are strong talks that the DVCA would like to form 2 Barclays to strengthen the standard of DVCA cricket. Divisions decided by locality of teams. Interesting to see what eventuates.

bad move, the reason they have no juniors is because of where they play. simple

*1st class facilities....i dont think so, they have a great pitch and their ground is great condition for now, but compared to a diamond creek for example, its chalk and cheese.

whilst they are strong senior team and have been for a while, there long term viability is questionable. they had juniors about 4-5 years back, what happened to them?? i think you'll find they are seen as non-important.

if the DVCA wanted a supercomp, why didnt the NCL get up last year? do they want it, but only on the DVCA's terms?? if so, bad way to start off

Firstly, Rosebank are out of the DVCA's area so they have to change their rules or ignore their rules to allow Rosebank in.

Secondly, if they are playing Epping / Mill Park / Thomastown Utd, etc the travel might not be too bad, but once they start going to Lower Plenty, Plenty, Hurstbridge, Montmorency, it starts to become a bit of a hike. Somehow I can't see this happening.

As for the NCL, the DVCA doesn't want the small clubs with two teams, they're only interested in the bigger clubs. I think this is the main reason the NCL didn't get going. I think the NCL would have been great but the DVCA isn't interested in fostering local cricket, the DVCA is only interested in fostering the DVCA.

People are looking at all of this the wrong way. The DVCA has a system in place. If any club wants to join the DVCA, they present their case. Then it gets voted on. Rosanna will apply and most likely be approved. If every other HDCA club does something else or goes somewhere else, the DVCA couldn't care less. If the club is in the right municipality and ticks all the right boxes as far a juniors, number of teams, facilities, etc, they'll most likely get in. Rosebank will therefore have to make some big changes if they want to apply. The DVCA does not approach teams to join.

F**K up idiot you guys think DVCA is like the Victorian Cricket Association that their are set criterias have to be met to join the league. You think Barclay shield is like Premier Cricket or something when you say you need great facilities and all that other Bullsh!t your talking about. Your Comp's a Park Cricket Comp not VCA or VSDCA. Get that through your head. Your Comp wouldn't even come in the top 5 COMPS in VICTORIA. F**K what your comp thinks and what boxes have to be ticked to join your comp. DVCA is just an average COMP played in an area near the F**king BUSH.

i concur.
From the North Heidelberg Doggggggggggiiiiiiiieeeeeessssss.

Moneybank have been approached indirectly, they will accept them in Money just like us. They have 3 years to get up a couple of junior teams and The DVCA know that they have been trying to get junior teams up for the few years.
They also know that they were putting in half teams with other clubs in jika and HDCA. The DVCA and are really happy with thier efforts. They also know that they have a milo system that has been there from the incepction of the program and they have had up to 50 kids going around at any one time. The word around is that the players are keen to go but the administration doesn't want to leave the HDCA!

You probably need to take a few deep breaths and relax. Maybe switch to decaf too.

Pull your head in- DVCA is one of the most premier leauges in the state and all of you idiots on this forum are just jealous that Rosanna have made the right move accross. Having played both A grade HDCA and Barclay i can tell you first hand the Barclay is a much better standard of cricket; the best teams in the HDCA would struggle in Money let alone our premier grade

yeah but your opinion doesn't matter because you're most likely a virgin.

Northmetro, with all due respect, I played footy with most of the players at Cotchin as a kid!! So before you make silly statements check your facts out first. I playrd against them in thier first "a" grade flag and they had 2 non locals playing!!
surprising isn't it? It surprised me when I went thru that team. Let's talk facts not make it up as you go, that way we are all on the same page. As for Barclay, Keon park, Rosebank and Camrea at their best would of dominated!! Some of your best players played 3rd grade jika cricket!! give it a break, DJ Yellah is right on the money.
