How are you guys handling the hot weather?

How are you guys handling the hot weather?

Just thought that I would ask this.

I was out umpiring footy at Springbank oval in wallace yesterday. It was 36 degrees and stinking hot.
I had Drysdale vs Sebastopol reserves. (it was a practice game.)
Anyway when I finished umpiring I was sweating like anything.

Re: How are you guys handling the hot weather?

you guys in victoria don't even know what heat is.

come to adelaide!

i've spent the last two weekends (saturday and sunday) on the cricket field in 40 degree heat.

looking forward to the cooler weather on tuesday and wednesday though

Re: How are you guys handling the hot weather?

It's been fine in Melbourne, pretty much perfect at long 20s to short 30s. I'm not complaining

Don't worry we didn't get to 40 degree heat. But it was hot enough for us. Yesterday here in ballarat it got to 37 degrees.
Feel sorry for you guys living in Adelaide though, especially those who are near the bushfires.

Re: How are you guys handling the hot weather?

where is this hot weather you speak of? ;) :p

I'd like some hot weather right now! A brutal winter is just getting over. something like 54 distinct measureable snowfalls, and average temps for the months of Jan and Feb that were below freezing.

Re: How are you guys handling the hot weather?

Try living in Kalgoorlie having to work in long trousers and shirts you softies :p

Good pay though :)

Re: How are you guys handling the hot weather?

Fair enough. You live in the states. Just make sure that you don't get 40 degree heat because that is what most of us Aussies have had to put up with and we are in autumn here(Fall).

95 Farenheit converts to about 35 Celsius.

so I googled 40 C to F and see it is 104 F. we rarely, if ever get up to that on just temperature, however will will have heat indexes of 110 F (when you account for humidity, etc.)

You're guaranteed to get at least three 40 degree days here in Perth, usually more. Christmas Day was 40.7C and then Boxing Day was 44.2C. The whole summer has been pretty warm, glad we're heading towards winter, it is the more superior season.

Plus footy's back! @|

Cool, wet and windy.

All temperatures below are in celsius.

Maximum temperatures during winter are usually between 16 and 20 with minimums ranging from zero to about 12. Minimums almost always in single figures, the only reason is may get up to double figures is due to cloud cover at night. Perth has only ever had one recorded minimum where the temperature has fallen below zero degrees.

Perth is also one of the most windiest cities in the world and gets over half its annual rainfall in the months of June, July and August (420.5 mm).

Still warm now though, this week all our maximums are going to be in the 30's and it's almost April.

You can find all the climate averages in the link below,

Hope that helps. Great city to live in. @|
