World Test XI 2010

The time is is coming closer for the ICC to announce player and team of the year (among other awards).

Name what you currently think is the best XI in the world. I also have an ODI and T20 one as well (not sure T20 even has that award yet...).

ICC Awards 2010

ICC Awards for 2010 are being held on October 6, so with a month to go I'd like to see what everyone thinks on the various awards.

I did want to post some short-lists but I can't find them easily, but if you think they should win it then they are probably on it.

Here are the categories:

- ICC Player of the Year

- Women's Cricketer of the Year

- Test Player of the Year

- One-day Player of the Year

- Captain of the Year

- Emerging Player of the Year
(Players eligible for this award must be under 26 years of age at the start of the voting period and have played no more than five Tests and/or 10 ODIs before that date.)

- Spirit of Cricket Award
(Described by the ICC as awarded to the team most notable for "upholding the 'Spirit of the Game', involving respect for:
* Their opponents
* Their own captain and team
* The role of the umpires
* The game's traditional values")

- Umpire of the Year

- People's Choice Award
(A new award where the general public gets to vote as to who they like the best. To vote and see the short-list click here)

Pakistan!

Re: ICC Awards 2010

Plus the final one, the public vote one is a waste of time. Sachin Tendulkar will win by default. Think of how many potential voters he has, the others have no chance.

In a way I do agree with Amir, but after the stuff lately... I don't think so. Performance wise, definitely.

But as for Pakistan... :p

Mike Hussey or de Villiers will probably come last when you look at that list, there just isn't enough voters for either of them no matter what they've done, you're completely right.
