Irfan Pathan moves upto #2 in ICC ranking

Irfan Pathan has climbed to his career-best second spot in the LG ICC Rankings.

Pathan is now the second best ODI bowler behind South African Shaun Pollock.

Harbhajan Singh remains the only other Indian bowler to feature in top 10.

Pathan has climbed up the rankings at the expense of fourth placed Glenn McGrath, who has missed a lot of cricket recently to be at home with his ailing wife.

Injured Kiwi pace spearhead Shane Bond has also lost out in the race.

Pathan is placed third on the all-rounders' list, behind Pollock and England's Andrew Flintoff.

Batting list

On the batting front, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has lost his status as the top rated ODI batsman to Adam Gilchrist.

Australia continue to dominate the one-day batting rankings with four of its players in the top five.

Indian captain Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh are placed ninth and tenth respectively, while Sachin Tendulkar has fallen out of the top 20.
