At the moment mgs look to have a number of players battling it out for the last few spots in the team. At the moment the definites, going on last year's form mainly would be:

Morris
J Land
Trotter

Others battling it out are monty Wilson, nick Voyage, louis Camaeron, lachy cameron, sam nottle, rory mitchell, tom healey, s land, ty bean, oscar jenkins

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

I don't know about that. Alot of those players on that list are still supsect, becuase they have not been getting great results

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

i dont know who you are 'spanked', but it doesn't sound like you mgs. next time just worry about carey or geelong c or some bad school that you probably go to

Geelong College:
There will be a few harsh decisions made by the selection panel, but heres my possible team.

Dale Denny (Yr 9 kid with good defence, very handy with the ball also)

Angus Nice (Dominant late cut- very handy with the ball also)

Matthew Lugg (Tries his hardest- bats slow, needs to turn the strike over more, bowls leg spin, needs to be more consistent)

Shaw Kitchen (One of the premier batsmen, bowls tight of spin aswell)

Jack Wood (year 8 kid who is amazing for his age. Wicketkeeper)

ROnald Shalstrom (Good defence, handy with Ball)

Ned Rogerson (Opening bowler with good pace, attacking batsmen who usually makes runs, aka Nooldes)

Thomas Roberts (Best Spinner with his tight, consistent off spin. Solid batsmen with excellent drive)

Tyrone Summers (excellent line and length as a pace bowler, usually makes runs also)

Tom Beaumont (Best wicket taking bowler, who moves it both ways)

Alex Carr (excellent left arm swing bowler)

Overall, a very handy bowling line up, having not lost a year 12 from last years bowling attack. May be a bit heavy with the bowlers, as literally everyone is capable of bowling.

Any update on that MGS team Club Cricketor, one of my mates there told me that that there could be an issue with the wicketkeeper.

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

You say thats a useful side Scotch have but Wesley smashed them yest by 6 wickets. The other teams shud watch out.

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

if you call that getting smashed loseing with 3 balls to go, when clayton was given LBW when he smashed it, scotch dropped 3 catches and numerous run outs and was denied a easy run out of wesleys in for batsmen well then yea scotch were smashed. i wouldnt say wesley won it scotch just lost it in the field

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

In response to the comment about Clayton smashing one and being given out lbw then, if you mean pad up to a full straight one by smash it then yes you would be correct mate! plum as they come if you ask me!

mate i was nxt in sitting in the stands and i heard it from there. was never out. we had a wesley guy run out by bout 2 metres in the last over but he was given not out. in regard to sooks. its not being sooks. jus committed to the cricket and bit angry over the controversial loss. thats all. a bit of passion mate

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

Wesley bowled a spinner with only 2 men on the fence in the last 10 overs, if they hadnt done that then the game wud hav been very one sided in wesleys favour. Just accept it scotch u played poorly and were surprised at the strength of wesley.

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

there wasnt 2 men on the fence. i was batting and there was more than 2. we will call it at least 4. long on, long off, deep square and deep cover

The point is in a real game that wouldnt happen and you would not have got as many runs as you did.

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

rightio. fair call. i still believe that both scotch and wesley will finish around mid table this yr. bout the same maybs

Re: Likely team line-ups official APS praccy match

We are targeting out 2nd game against HC and believe if we can get a result against them we hav a massive chance of top 4 placing.
