Mac - now a realistic option?

I've never really considered buying a Mac due to the fact that they're not...well, Windows.
Vista however, has been a complete waste of time! I hate the OS! I mean, XP was so much better!

But now that Mac's can run Windows and you can switch between the 2 OS's without rebooting, I'm considering getting a Mac Book.

Do you think that Windows-running-capability has opened up the doors to now consider a Mac computer as well for yourself?

Well worth it! Ive used one, for working it is sleek, elegant and a delight to use. When i want to change simply flick over and game away. Its like beauty and the beast, Mac is the beauty side and the windows adds the beastly side. A real delight to use i reccomend it 110% :D.

We have Mac's at school and they aren't that bad - better then Vista.

I have Vista at home, and its terrible! I hate it, its slowish on my comp (XP was much more efficient) and the compability issues are ridiculous!

Mac's are good, but I like XP better.

Re: Mac - now a realistic option?

I'm seriously tempted by a mac, will more than likely be looking at one when I replace my laptop in a little while.

They seem to do everything I need plus the ability to duel boot and it seems that you really can't go wrong.

Re: Mac - now a realistic option?

The market for Macs is increasing now that it also supports Windows OS.

Re: Mac - now a realistic option?

Mac's are stunning. The best part is now you can operate two OSs without a problem. Using Parallel (a software that allows you to switch between OS within a click or a wave of the hand if you have a Macbook Pro).

Re: Mac - now a realistic option?

Isn't there also a ping pong game where you control the ball\bat by moving the macbook instead of a mouse or keyboard?

If so that would be awesome to play on the bus or in public!

Re: Mac - now a realistic option?

Yes there are censors on the Macbook which can allow it to be a controller. One guy made Need for Speed (or another racing game) work with this Mac, but its only with the Pro version and looking at the price, I don't think you should do that.
