Magic pulling out new tricks
After a not so memorable preseason, the Madrid Magic are ready to fire in their first match, against the Geelong Gators. Under the stand-in leadership of Mousey and Breeno, the new look Magic are looking better than ever.
The club has had a massive transformation between seasons 1 and 2, with over half the playing group having not been in the initial Magic squad. Co-captain Mousey, who usually doesn't speak to the media, was kind enough to talk to us before boarding the plane from Madrid today.
"We are a young group, but Breeno and I believe we are also a very talented group," he said. "We are hoping to further our success and go one better than winning last season's OD championship by also being Test premiers this year. We have 5 or so players that have earned bonus points in last season's win and we hope they can help us do the double."

"We are also a very active team and aren't afraid to throw some banter around every now and again," he continued. "We have recruited young blokes like Edge, S2F and the Wizz who are just great. They are always around and make us probably the best team in the competition in that area. They are top notch guys and great team men. After delisting all our non-posting players we are going in with a smaller, but active squad. Players will be battling each other for places, which will be tough, but Breeno and I believe that's a great situation to be in."
