Mass exodus from Indian Cricket League
79 Indian players from the Indian Cricket League have decided to withdraw from the rebel competition, no longer wanting to be known as "rebel" players. The move comes from the back of the competition losing a lot of its star players, with a score of New Zealand players quitting the competition. Three of those players included Shane Bond, Daryl Tuffey and Lou Vincent, former regulars with the Kiwi outfit. The return of these players to the international side could happen very soon with NZ Cricket stating that any NZ player fomerly associated with the ICL will be deemed to be available for selection provided they can show they have severed all ties with the ICL.
There's been a seriously fast exit from this competition, which can be evidently seen below,
11 coaches have also quit and the majority of the international players have also opted for the door as the ICL goes from fighting the good fight against the BCCI to being almost defunct. The BCCI has given the Indian players and coaches who left the ICL amnesty so they will be available to play in the Ranji trophy as well as represent India on the international scene provided they are good enough for selection.

ICL looks just about done in my opinion. They only have about 40 players left on their books and that's barely enough for three full squads.
This is most definitely a victory of sorts for international cricket, New Zealand will be pleased to get two of their better bowlers back in Bond and Tuffey and maybe Vincent as cover for the top order. Pakistan too will be happy about Yousuf coming back as their top order looks rather ordinary without him. It's good to see these guys have come to their senses really and shown some loyalty to their country rather than waste their talent in a tournament which has got little coverage and is struggling to stay in existence.
But, is this more of a victory for the BCCI? They effectively have very little competition now for the cricketing market in India now that the ICL has lost a lot of its players and is now struggling for money. This is only going to strengthen their influence over cricket in India and may add to their influence abroad too.
So, what does everyone think? Good for international cricket? Bad for the Indian scene? I'd rather both the ICL and IPL be canned to be honest.

- South African pair Johan van der Wath and Nantie Hayward both leaving the ICL reignite their international careers. Fellow Protea Justin Kemp left the competition only a few days before
- Mohammad Yousuf and Abdul Razzaq resigned from the ICL late last month to continue their careers with Pakistan cricket
