One Day International All Rounders.

espnstar.com has an article on valuable one day all rounders on their website. While the parameters for their selection are undisputed, some all rounders have another effect on the opposition. I cannot compare the names on the list, as cricketers, or on the topic of who is better, but I am very surprised that Chris Cairns is not in the list. I rate Chris Cairns as the perfect all rounder, he was so low profile, that he helped New Zealand win a Champions Trophy Final against India, and I did not consider him, when the match was in progress. He was a very good batsman, and a very good bowler, but his batting and bowling, did not seem outstanding, visually, and perhaps, his was not a personality, which invited a person to consider his cricket skills.

Re: One Day International All Rounders.

Is it referring to current all rounders? Or, the best of all time?

If it is current, Cairns is no longer playing international cricket, so, that would explain his absense. If it is all time, I guess someone hasn't rated him highly enough. Who featured in the list ahead of Cairns?

Cairns was not in the list. There were many great names, but perhaps, they should not be ranked. I do not feel that rankings do justice, all the time.

I repeat, was it CURRENT all rounders? Or, the ALL TIME greatest all rounders?

Re: One Day International All Rounders.

Rankings for allrounders are alright. If you consider an allrounder to be a player who regularly bats and bowls, with a batting average greater than his bowling average, the best allrounder is going to be the player with the biggest difference between the two.
