Question about bowling action

i`m a newby here and have a quick question

after reading a number of threads on here as well as extracts from the "fast bowlers bible" i`m a little confused!

i am a chest on right arm medium fast bowler( everything points to the bat including landing leg and chest) after reading i have learnt that a vital part in gaining an extra yard is the job of the hip and shoulder!

my question:

if i alter my action so i have more rotation at my shoulder and hip will this give me a mixed action! at present i am very square on when delivering and my chest and trunk work very hard to produce pace where as i want to make my action more efficient with more momentum! people have spoke about the hip coming through!

any advice would be appreciated

Rich

Re: Question about bowling action

Chest/side on really only relates to the moment of delivery. You can still use things like hip drive etc as this is common to both types of action.

If you can get a video of yourself bowling (front on, side on and behind) then we can offer a bit more help as we can see where you and where you potentially need to be.

Welcome to the forum btw!
