Rumours going around that MP started their pre-season about a month ago, with no signs of a 2x Club Champion. Maybe it has to do with his football commitments, but still not sure. I will talk to my source in the coming days.

Fairdinkum this game of cricket is f....d!! The whole DRS crap has ruined the fundamentals of the game, the spectical and the human side of things. Yes the spastics behind the stumps (no not the keepers) ************ things up all the time but when you have a clear lbw and the pictures back it up, give it out!! Not this half the ball hits half the stump bs. Just like afl. Too many,ridiculous rules and too much interference makes it too hard to enjoy. Not all that related to our local stuff but anyone agree?

Look, he's played first class cricket, so I can't say that he isn't a good cricketer. But they aren't overly impressive stats for what i have seem come across my desk by way of imports. Pretty good strike rate and he averages almost 1 six per game, could put on some fireworks some games. But can't see him getting in the top 5 runs for the year.

I think with the imports the stats tend to be a bit misleading, and it is really a case of suck it and see. For instance, give me a Sri Lankan with a FC average of 30 with a cut and pull shot than one that averages 45 but plays only off the front foot. They're very different conditions over there. That's probably why the more successful imports in our comp tend to be allrounders or bowlers.
Was down at clever cricket on Wednesday night and Lower had 25 + training. It made for a very interesting change over, people and bags everywhere. Not bad numbers though for this early.

Interesting to see lower go down the path of an 'import', seeing that they have a big emphasis on 'junior development'. Heard Nathan Andrews to Bundoora. Can anyone confirm Steve Smith to Mont with Potter and Gunn and Barnett to Bundoora United?.

Nathan Brown moved from the relegated Thomastown United to Sth Morang. A good pick up there for Morang, huge loss for Thomastown. No recruiting has been done to fill the gap either. Lucky their fast bowler Taka from Sri Lanka doesn't care about which grade he plays in. No recruiting has been done in the off season. Looks like Thomo will have a hard time even in the Bgrade.

Great pickups for Bundoora united. Did they win 1st division?. Must be forking out a bit of coin for the likes of curtain, miller, Barnett, Gunn and Ross.
