Sidebottom and Hoggard.

Both Sidebottom and Hoggard are swing bowlers, but perhaps Hoggard is more of a purist. Sidebottom can bowl with more pace. Whenever Hoggard finds himself in trouble, when bowling, he always takes the measures, one expects of a swing bowler. Hoggard is fascinating, because he perhaps does not give as much importance to control, as to swinging the delivery.

Sidebottom, Anderson, Broad, Panesar and Hoggard/Jones is a formidable attack by all means. They are a good side England, without Warney (possibly) the Ashes may actually go to a fourth or even fifth test next time around.

Hoggard and Sidebottom are their most experienced players and will be a force in 2009 with the ability to exploit their weather conditions perfectly.

Australia will be up against it.

Sidebottom is probably one of only a few dangerous fast bowlers going around in world cricket. Batsmen facing Sidebottom always know they will have a battle on their hands.
