Re: South Africa v Zimbabwe (3 ODI)

Does anyone here not expect a 3-0 sweep for South Africa? I guess the only way that wouldn't happen is if one of the matches is rained out.

Zimbabwe played their 20/20 against Eagles today.
They were demolished. Zimbabwe batted first, were all out for 103, and Eagles won 104/1 after 11.4 overs. Not even a contest. Eagles had a few ODI-level players from the South African team, and a few that will eventually make their ODI debuts, like Thandi Tshabalala (who was part of the South Africa squad for the cancelled tri-series in Sri Lanka, and surely would have made his debut there).

Based on this performance, I would expect sound thrashings in all three ODI's.

wow, how good are the eagles? i assume this thread came up late was b/c there won't be much interest as it is sure to be a whitewash.

i who's the associate team Zim's group in the WC? i would tip them to win.

They've got a good 6 or 7 players who are part of or could step into the South African ODI team, so they probably are a legitimately better team than Zimbabwe in any form of the game, 20/20 or otherwise.

That would be Ireland. I have high hopes for a win there.
