Southern Hemisphere Twenty20 Tournament

With the IPL becoming very successful, the South African, Australian and New Zealand cricketing boards are developing their own Twenty20 tournament to be divided into two conferences. The Western Conference will involve mostly African sides while the Eastern Conference will involve Australian and New Zealand teams. However, their is potential for squads to play in the series from outside RSA, Australia and NZ.

Teams would be based in cities with the aim to attract stars from India as well as other cricketing nations. All three countries will retain their current domestic Twenty20 season.

So, what does everyone think? Are we going overboard or is Twemty20 becoming the future of the sport?

Overkill, unless something is worked out so that a true 'champions' league emerges from all of these different tournaments.
