Star batsman dumped from team
Bennycoff's career at JAMS...is it over?
Former FIGJAMS captain and star batsman Bennycoff has been dropped from the FIGJAMS side for the first time in his glorious career.
The star bat has been disappointing this season with only 248 runs at 27.6 in the tests with just the 2 50's whilst his ODI form has also been well down with 254 runs at 31.8 with just 1 50. The once great ODI batsman who averaged over 120 in his first two seasons has struggled in recent times and his shock axing will surely awaken his teammates.
Bennycoff stated, "Yeah i'm a bit disappointed that I've been dropped but that is life and I'll get over it. There are plenty of worse things that could happen, I've had a great career with the FIGJAMS so I can't really complain too much".
Asked whether his time was up at the FIGJAMS, Bennycoff stated, "I'm not sure where I stand at the club at this stage but I am committed to the team and will do my best to make it back into the team. It's been a horrible season for the club and we need to stick together".
Bennycoff's position in the side has been taken by youngster Aldan who will open the batting with Will.
