Swing Bowling- Some Tips
I've found as I cannot bowl quick that swing is a great weapon even at really high levels of cricket.
One thing I've noticed even with a two piece in hand is that most blokes don't know how to do it.
You need to aim the rough side the way you want to swing the ball but THEN (here is the most important part)..
You need to angle the seam either to leg slip or lfirst slip depending on an innie or an outie (whatever you can bowl)..
And then.. when you get some movement, you need to alter your action a little to get the late movement that causes dramas to batsman..
For an outswinger, let the action relax so it is a little round-arm- it really works..
For an innie, go as high in your action as you can and let the ball do the work. Brush your ear at the highest point.
And for the advanced players, I've found that in your follow-through (for a right hand bowler) try and hit the right leg with your follow through for an inswinger.. you'll be amazed.
So try it fellas and come back her and tell me how it goes.
