The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

Right then guys, here it is, AT LONG LAST!!!

The show you've all been waiting for - say a big welcome back to....

THE CRICKET SHOW

Tune Into It At: www.simplycricket.net/podcast/TCS S4 E1.mp3

In this first episode: the series format, world of cricket (news), and advice on how to play cricket, and finally, a dreaded competition (don't worry though, there is no phone-in con to worry about!). Plus the usual great (ahem) mix of music.

Music today is from:
Jenny Dalton - Circles
Yuma House - Write Off Summer
Alex BerLin - Leave Me Alone

A weird mix, I'm sure you will agree!

Enjoy it, and if you would like to guest sometime during the series, please contact me by PM/email/post in the other threads.

Rhys,
The Host & Producer.

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

i like this but you need more pakistan

maybe i should be your pakistani guest and give news?

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

I have to say that the show was good in that it would be a good script but you seemed like you were struggling to take up all the time. I think a co-host might do you good.

Not a fan of the whole song segment either, personally, I just skipped it. About ten seconds of background music imbetween segments is fin e but whole songs are just tedious.

The 'World of Cricket' part of it was very good and I think that you can spend more time on the issue which interests you most instead of listing news. I also think that the drills section was good too and I am looking forward to the guest bit next week.

The 34 minutes that your show was is far too much, look for about 20 minutes maximum.

Good effort.

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

Thanks for the advice there mate, I'll just play one song in future - but also, the guests appearance will be a co-host sort of thing throughout the whole show, not just the whole guest segment. And it's true, I just needed to get that episode out yesterday - future ones will be better ;)
If you would like to host please contact me :p

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

i agree with manee you do need a co-host. now let's see, who knows, works and lives near you knows lot's about cricket and is always keen to help on tcs? oh yes me! :p :p

good show actually, even though it was a bit disjointed. i guess it's cos u had no one 2 talk 2. nice variety of music, a bit 2 long tho. 25 mins perhaps with a shorter intro and one less song?

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

This is not meant to be offensive to you, Rhys but I feel that a co-host needs to be someone whose voice has broken because it just doesn't work if there is one or more people whose voices haven't broken hosting.

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

Don't worry, I don't take offence
There will be a guest co-host every week, confirmed.

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

The show was a little long and the chipmunk voice did get annoying after a while but the content is good.

Less music, more chat and please less squeeking.

Re: The Cricket Show - Series Four - Episode One

nice work i liked it but i think like others have said could reduce the music but good overall.

Haha, you'll have to wait just the same amount of time as me for that to happen ;)

Ignore the flames, you little welsh podcasting monster!

One day when you're sitting on Chris Moyles you'll be able to look back and chuckle to yourself and think. Yeah, just think!

Remember, STOP!

CARRY ON!

Mark and Lard, my slightly under cooked friend.

A classic phrase from the former demi gods of Radio 1.

Would you like to explain...

I wouldn't worry about it, as danicus said, it's in reference to a mark and lard catchphrase, not telling you to stop.
