Twenty20 Champions League - Player Conflicts

Does anyone know which teams the players with multiple qualifications will be playing for? I'm sure there's a few, but the ones I can think of:

White (Royal Challengers/VIC)
McDonald (Dehli/VIC)
Bracken (Royal Challengers/NSW)
Warner (Dehli/NSW)

Re: Twenty20 Champions League - Player Conflicts

White and McDonald you would imagine would stick with Victoria seeing as their teams didnt even give them a game

Nannes is apparently expected to stick with Delhi and it wouldnt suprise me to see Warner chase the money as well

I also imagine the IPL sides are not limited to 4 internationals during this tournament are they?

Re: Twenty20 Champions League - Player Conflicts

Players eligible to play for multiple teams

Nathan Bracken - New South Wales, Bangalore
Brendon McCullum - Otago, New South Wales
Dirk Nannes - Victoria, Delhi
David Warner - New South Wales, Delhi
Cameron White - Victoria, Bangalore
Andrew McDonald - Victoria, Delhi
Herschelle Gibbs - Cobras, Deccan
Farveez Maharoof - Wayamba, Delhi
Dwayne Smith - Sussex, Deccan

McCullum has chosen his local side as has Gibbs whilst Smith is sticking with Sussex

What brings you to this conclusion?

Because he's likely to start most of their games, and it's a fairly big pay packet for someone who's not playing first class cricket and doesn't have a CA central contract.

Re: Twenty20 Champions League - Player Conflicts

Dirk Nannes is the only player to select his away side, every other player has stuck with his home team (Well Nannes was the only one named by both so whether he was the last to decide or none of the other away teams wanted their players, who knows :p)

Interesting to see Paul Collingwood named after they didnt even give him a game during the IPL

Victoria: Blizzard, Finch, Hodge, Hussey, White, McDonald, Wade, Quiney, Siddle, Holland, McKay, PattinsonJ, PattinsonD, Harwood, Hastings, Hill, Wright, McGain, Sheridan

Will be hard to cut 4 players from there, Holland, Hill, Sheridan and one of the Pattos would be the obvious ones, but in India they may want the 2 spinners, both Pattos could be useful, very strong squad

whats symonds doing, anyone know ?

i would love to see him rip apart the NSW team. hope hes playing for someone somewhere. the best T20 player in the world. and besides T20s are for drinking and irresponsibility anyway. crap version of the game but still cricket. cant wait for it all.

Re: Twenty20 Champions League - Player Conflicts

here's your T20 challenge- WA, Qld and SA v NSW, Vic and Tas. every player has to drink three cans of beer before they bat or bowl.
With Pommersbach and Symonds we would romp it in! LOL

Vic and Tas could just bring in a couple of old blokes and Symonds and P'bach would get an education.
