im doing a computer engineering coarse at uni

and my first task is too create and maintain a website for 6 months

im just wondering if anyone can help me with some ideas

cause im stuck at the moment

First thing is to decide upon the topic - what do you have in an interest in?

Are there any more specific parameters?
Eg:
*Does the site need to be dynamic or will static HTML do?
*Does the site need to be written from the ground up or can you use existing web applications?
*Do you need to use a database backend?

If you are allowed to use existing apps, you can set up a wordpress blog or vBuletin forum in a couple of hours. However, if the site needs to be 100% your own code you are somewhat limited, as it's going to be very difficult to build a complex website by yourself in 6 months, especially if you are learning how to do it as you go.
