Who would you have taken?

So, the 20/20 squads are all announced and beforehand everyone was asking for specialists, then they were picked and i got the feeling that everyone was a bit disapointed they were picked and thought we werent taking it seriously.

So who would you of taken to the 20/20 WC no matter what your country, list your squads.

Well, Iam not all for 20/20 (Its killing 50 over Cricket...But thats a whole 'nother discussion). But here is how I would line up the Aussie Line Up;

Adam Gilchrist - A no brainer, born for 20/20.
Matty Hayden - Big and powerful, he is a smasher when he gets in, so look out.
Ricky Ponting - Can smash the ball, and can play the game (He has the highest 20/20 Int. score).
Andrew Symonds - Gets placed up the order so he can make an impact.
Michael Hussey - If Aus get in trouble early he can recover, whilst scoring at a healthy rate.
Cameron White - I don't rate him as a Leggie, but this Victorian gives them a whollop!
Shane Watson - He can bat and bowl, I dont know if he will get smashed though, his bowling is bland.
Brett Lee - Will scare the crap out of batsman as he can go 100% since he only needs to bowl 4 overs.
Nathan Bracken - Master of swing early on, and can get wickets late with his slower balls and cutters.
Stuart Clark - Is a tight bowler, would be able to stop runs flowing.
Ben Hilfenhouse - He can swing the ball, I reckon he could do well.


Even though it is 20/20, I still believe you need 4 bowlers.

My Indian lineup would be

Virender Sehwag
Robin Uthappa
Yuvraj Singh (Captain)
Rohit Sharma
Dinesh Karthik
Mahendra Dhoni (Vice-Captain)
Irfan Pathan
Piyush Chawla
Zaheer Khan
Shanthakumaran Sreesanth
Rudra Pratap Singh

Virender Sehwag would be hoping to get back in form in this tournament. I'd pick Yuvraj as captain over Dhoni because of his experience.

I would have kept the same squad but had Gambhir out for Praveen Kumar. Kumar seems to be a good agressive opener who can bowl medium pace to the level of opening the bowling for India A. Seemed like a sure selection for me till I saw he was not picked.
