Will Haileybury be Beaten this year?

After a dominant r1 vs BGS (who thought they were going to win the flag) the bloods again look dominant with some nice easy games before Chrissy to be honest i can't see anyone beaten HC especially with all the older players doing well and youngs guys competing for the 9,10,11 positions.

sweet display of cricket on saturday by Haileybury.....a shocking effort by the hyped up premiers....wesley bounced back but are still a seemingly second rate unit.....

Will haileybury be beaten? THA is a joke, this thread has officailly ended right about NOW!!! it lasted a hole what, 1 GAME...must be a new world record.

mmm, not only aps record, but the whole universe and galaxy etc...
haileybury are a way too arrogant team of individuals

JAFRO, JAFRO, JAFRO, you have got to be kidding me mate. Dont start talking all this "team spirit" crap. Its a game of cricket played by 12 blokes who go to the same school, train with each other and play for the enjoyment of the game. So if you think that because you lose a game of cricket, that there is no "team spirit" you really do need to get back in your box! Oh yeah, by the way, seeings as your an expert on team spirit, what exactly would you say getting bowled out for 80 odd by CAREY! means????? Thats what i thought mate!

it means that after we lost early wickets we dropped our heads and our spirit was gone. we had no momentum and you would say carey's team spirit was incredibly high and it helped bring home the win for them. Yesterday we won because we kept our minds on the task and we all encouraging each other and remaining positive. And 1st XI cricket isnt played just for the enojoyment, that obviously is why we play in the first place but in the 1st XI you play to win!

yes but we bounced bak and on the day our team spirit was strong. what makes a team is how u bounce bak.

First of all, i think its fair to say that Haileybury lost, rather than Wesley won.

200 is never an easy target to make, but apart from 2 Wesley batters, they would have been rolled and all out for 70.

Jafro, you have so much to say, you are pretty happy talking everyone up, but the fact is, have you made runs for Wesley yet? Everyone in your team seems to be a superstar.

R.Wakefield run out says it all. Getting him out a proper way wouldnt have entered the Wesley mind. He batted all day, Haileybury 300+. M.Wakefield, to bang a full toss is stiff.

Haileybury lost one game last year too, to Brighton i think, and how did they go for most of the year?

Back it up Wesley consistently, and maybe then we will give you credit.

fiery yet again is the one who brings some logic and reason to the table great idea by hailebury to 'tank' the game to give wesley some confidence and to give the aps something to talk about

I don't care much about either side, but that has got to be the most pathetic excuse for an excuse that I've read in a while.

Why don't you just say that if the other side had all their good players not playing, then they wouldn't be any good and you'd beat them? Hahaa. Pathetic!

Really, when you get comprehensively rolled, cop it on the chin and worry about yourselves.

And since when is "run out" not a proper way to get out? Are you still playing backyard cricket?

firstly, only 2 wesley batters are needed. jafro couldn't make runs if haileybury can't get the wickets mate, we're not going to retire gairns or munas to give jafro a go...

So Haileybury are a two man side are they?
well i don't care, we got both of them out fairly and they sooked later in the field mate. he got run out from the pressure wesley applied.
last time i checked, run out is one of the ways a batter can be dismissed, and he ran himself out too...
you could say wesley were stiff against carey because their batters batted ******** coz of the pressure carey applied... but thats cricket! it is not an excuse!!!

haileybury is a different team to it was last year, so don't make comparisons as is every other team, and at the moment, wesley = haileybury this season until proven otherwise

haileybury will loose outright to carey... with chancelor making a double ton.. .meg also gettin a hundred and parker and ohern duo n will open getting 5 wickets in both innings each
