I remember playing against him when he played for Deerpark/Ardeer & GU when they where in the sunshine comp. He always used to have a runner. Dont know how he got away with it so long. Seems the Willi comp didnt allow this.

Rd 9 Results

A Turf- Willi Imps 8 Dec 209 & 6/78, def ANA All out 180 & 6 Dec 147

B Turf- ANA all out 186, def Willi Imps All out 154

Couple of upsets in A turf in Hoppers beating Colts & Lavo beating Wyndamvale.

In B turf Wynhamvale inflicted Point Cook first loss of the season

i heard rumors, that u blokes were down at colts trying to poach matt knight on his second training night at the club.

and you wonder why no one likes you?

crofty isnt that good. had to carry way to much weight on his shoulders at gellibrand. as soon as things dont go his way he pulls an injury? figure that one out.

name me another under 21 player that makes a ton against "the best attack in the comp" and he batted overnight when it was dark.. he is what? top 5 runs in the comp? nahh he struggles good call.....

your guys batted very well on a typical Lavo road. Congratulations to your guys.

Cricket's a funny game. everyone knows that. Your guys didn't give any chances most of the day. and when the half chances came we didn't take them

he batted well, but it wasn't that dark the first day. can't be that bad if he's playing pullshots ;)

i play at williamstown c.c my name is mark brown play in the ones and two's at the moment i am the coach of the w.d.c.a u/21 rep team........

dont worry me and zaine go back a long way......and just found out who he was on here.....

just read ''rohans'' post about your post and had to read back to find this........your kidding yourself arnt you......

we poach kids.......hahahahaha your a dill
now first of all i sent out 35 letters to kids in the w.d.c.a for the u/21 side and had a good training program set up for them wich included 2 sessions on turf at f.e.c.c if you dont know what that is thats footscray......
first seesion had 11
2nd session had 4
3rd session 5
4th session 13
5th session 6
last session 4
if you have a look at those figures its pretty poor...........
now out of the 13 kids we got to play the 3 games 8 of them were b-turf players.......now there is more than 5 u/21 players playing in the a-turf surely.....in fact i know there is.......its just that these kids didnt want to play no skin off my nose the kids i got were fantastic scotty grioli in fact won the last game for us with a 40 odd not out while under some pressure chasing runs......and if they get something out of it the better for their home club......2 wins and a loss just missed out on finals im being honest here i know it wasnt the best team out on the park cause there is lots more talent going around but the fact is these boys got something out of the carnival and will remember it for a long time by the way they played as a team and won as a team.......both wins were excellent and great to watch and being involved in..........a little more interest from the local clubs and their commitee would make the side a whole lot better........but it doesnt happen why i dont know pretty poor in my opinion........

matt knight.......? who is he........

crofty is a former championship winning player,coach and captian of our great club......yer carried a lot of weight at gellibrand.........but doesnt have to down at willy bats 9 and bowls 8 to 15 overs a game.....handy lower order bat and more than capable with the ball....far less im sure of what he was doing at gellibrand.......8 and zip willy firsts are with an average of 3 wickets per game i think he has made the right choice dont you........and if he pulls an injury at willy simple he wont be in the side.......:eek:

My sources tell me weapons that at the moment u r keeping KFC in business due to the magnificent new crispy chicken range that Maccas have produced.

"the best attack in the comp"... notice the " ". that is wyndamvales thoughts. ofcourse chugg and frew dominate, they have to, they have no one else to bowl.
lavo road, its always a road its why its the best ground in the comp. and you are dead set kidding yourself if you think it wasnt dark, just shows that young can obviously play..
lavo cant make it but a win outright against rams and a a few choking efforts by teams around the mark will make it interesting.. whoever does make the granny, i guarantee they wont go 5 day final like last year.

OK, lets see. you come on here after one decent win, claim its against the best bowling attack, which its not. Proclaim your going to make the finals, which is highly unlikely then talk about the granny last year which you lost!!

take a look back champ, wyndamvale let us have it on here before xmas talking themselves up.. you think we just had a lucky day against them, everyone knows if you hang it on lavo you will cop it back twice as hard... and wyndamvale think they have the best attack not me.. as if we think that, we spanked them!
and everyone is talking up there chance in the grand final, and what reasons do they have to do it? ana for example... struggle, yeah they beat us but we are struggling. colts? pfft are you serious, play on a good deck and get there 2 bats out and name your score against them. digman, inconsistant wyndamvale rely on there bowlers...
who do you play for "bulls"?

Relax Champ....Didn't say you guys had a lucky day, it was your best day for the season. Fact is your bowling lineup is strugling, so you need to be getting those types of scores to win, and it hasn't happened that often.

Wyndhamvales strength is thier bowling, after GU one of the better bowling lineups. Thier batting can be poor at times, and has cost them a few games this year. Should sneak into 4 with thier good run home. Started the season well, but have faded after xmas.

i agree with that as a whole. Our batting has struggled for most of the year bar 1 or 2 performances which shows we can bat.


I don't think anyone would have beaten Lavo on the weekend. They batted well as I said, and yes the wicket is always a road. I never said it wasn't. The batsman applied themselves and dug in. Congratulations. Not much I can do personally, as I'm not a bowler
