ANA Batted first, great start 0 for 60 odd and then bundled out for 130 or so. Played 4 youngens from Juniors, struggled but good experience against a quality side.

Melton Attack was good, tight bowling and great in the field. Apparently had a strike bowler out so hard to tell.

Melton far better batting side, 5/ 230 of 40 overs. Their district bat very good will make alot of runs.

Practise matches for cricket, how ridiculous, GUCC havent had one in 7 years, and oh dear, 7 premierships. And a red card rule, i tip the first a truf card will go to gellibrand.

GU wont get a card, you think the umpires will give some of them a send off?? highly unlikely...

The only blokes that cop a red card, will be lesser known blokes that have a mouth, you are kidding yourself if you think the 'senior' guys will get one.

Rumour has it, if you sware at all you get yellow automatically. what a joke.

SHould be an interesting year then..

If you get a red card when fielding, does that mean you cant bat??

Not many turf wickets will ready by October 4th. Looks like a October 11th start, if we lucky

Heard Wyndhamvale recruiting well...

Not sure about Digman, they ususally buy a high profile recruit each year??

If Imps signed Chamberlain as coach im sure he would be recruiting well..

Wydhamvale have supposedly signed a few.

I believe Imps have signed another coach who has brought in 4 or 5 players.Dont think Chamberlain is one of them.

Digman are supposedly as you were from last year.

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

I know Laverton have signed 3 or 4 players from Werribee's A Turf. Supposedly a opening bowler and batsmen included

The club will field sides in:
A Turf
B Turf
C Turf
A Matts
B Matts x2

ANA will field four senior sides:
A Turf
B Turf
A Matts
1 side in the Churches Comp

Have lost up to dozen senior players due to retirments, injures and work committments. Expect up to 5 new players in A turf. Mostly within the club will get the A turf spots, most of them being players out of Juniors.
