hey rohan wyndamvale had a pitch they wanted to play but the run ups
were a mud heap, they even went to buy sand to lay over top then put mats
on top, had to be called off but they still wanted to play no idea.

mate you're a dreamer. the mats were perfectly fine to keep on and have any footing on. District Clubs play with the rubber mats when its wet, yet Digman dont want to play because it's unsafe?
Not to mention the 7 players that rocked up from your mob, or the quality of the side, with 4 or 5 of them from last years B Turf side? You would have been smashed, some of your players admitted the fact and you're happy to get away with 3 points. Good on ya

The thing we were disappointed in was that the game was called off at 12:10, 20 mins before the scheduled start of play. Aren't they meant to wait 1hr after play to make it a reduced game?

Yeah no one is going to believe that.

Ok Hinton is an exception, we heard he had offers and chose to stay, good on him. But, you can not honestly say you didnt get lucky when having a swing. If you think otherwise then good on ya's your only kidding yourself.

Anyone say why Wyndamvale game was off and the Gellibrand game? Not having a pitch ready is a joke.

Wicket at Angliss look very ordinary and even without the rain friday night , l doubt a game would of went ahead. They had the Lacross finals few weeks back and the centre square could not get top dressed till the finals were over.

Good luck for rd 2

Go play district cricket then. No chance you could play through that mud heap, keeping would have been hard enough let alone bowling through. You needed footy boots not cricket spikes.

Its the 1st game of the season, plenty of games to go so why risk injury?? As for getting smashed! yeah, ok...We will see in the return game later in the year.

How does Lavo's 'new' keeper go?

Curious to hear if he can catch it or is just backstopping.

maybe thet were but they were not on friday when i checked ground at 5 pm ?

Was definally put down on thursday night, as im the one who actually helped put them down, only reason why there wouldnt of been covers down at 5, if the curator was looking at doing some work. We have a new curator this year, a guy that actually plays at digman apparently.

Pitch played really slow on the weekend, didnt look the best, though both sides still managed to make a combined total of 300 runs.

so hows wyndamvale going this year havnt heard much dolz comming from your mouth much this season you couldnt hit water if you fell out a boat you CAT!

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

going along very nicely so far this year mate. nothing to write home about of my stick so far. but really only had 1 match to play since Digman didn't feel our ground safe enough to play on.
But we'll get there.

What about ANCC for you? Heard you're pretty much a gimp at the club. Surely be playing matts by now yeah?

No need to get sucked in Dolz.

Round 3 selections:

Gelli vs GU - would hate to be the gellibrand boys this week, GU on the rebound.

Hoppers Club vs Lavo - (havent the lavo boys gone quiet on this site). I think the lavo boys are hurting enough with their slow start to kick start their season wth a good win.

Vale vs Imps - Should be a toughy. Hinton & Jocka unavailable. But will and have to back our boys. Looking forward to it.

West vs Digman - Digman should be too strong. West will put in a gritty showing though.

ANA vs Colts - Colts. ouch that hurt.

Good luck to all.
