haha. bats 10 and fields fine leg to fine leg?

i bat at 6, and field at mid off or in slips or gully. You couldn't be further from the truth mate. It's always good to see people judge others on one game.

and fwiw, i didn't disappear. I've just got a social life, unlike you it seems

i hear from a reliable wynd senior player that there is fighting in betweeen the team, a lot of pressure on the vales going into the finals on top all year and losing there last match

Well done Dean Commo, batted all day on the Wyndhamvale minefield (Not their fault mind you) for 76 not out which takes GU into our 8th successive finals series.

There hasn't been a better batter in this comp over the last 10 years in my humble opinion. (Not talking just runs but the overall package.)

You'd pay money to watch the class batting of Ed Maddern & Darren Jury but you'd stake your life on Deano batting.....
i agree with that Dave. He was certainly the difference yesterday. Batted exceptionally well for his 76*

Re: Williamstown and District Cricket Association (WADCA)

certainly not between our A-Turf team. There may be in club for all i know, but that doesnt have anything to do with our onfield performance

They are brave preditions what about the 3 other games.

Newport v Laverton

ANA V Hoppers

W'Vale V GU

My tips are GU by 5 wickets, Hoppers outright ( ANA can't Bat ) & Laverton by 1 or 2 wickets.

Boofa - Lucky there are no Bookmakers betting on the WDCA or l would have cleaned up, GU won by 5 wickets and Lavo by 2 wickets.

even after he did his hammy on the weekend?

Dolz - Congratulations to W'Vale for making GU flag favorites well done you clowns!!!!! As l said last week the cream rises to the top when the pressure is on and l predicted Deano would be your danger man and the rest would bat around him which they did. I also heard that you guys displayed very poor sportsmanship in claiming catches that didn't carry?

This week you are very lucky as we have softened Imps up for you and they have lost a bit of confidence with there batting which is supposed to be their strength but don't W'Vale have a reputation of choaking in the big games?

Hey junior "Look and learn" what a good side can do under pressure GU were never going to lose that game after your batsmen could only make a lucky 183 your batting is very soft just like your club and l would suggest if you have any ability at all get out of W'Vale before it is too late and you become mentally scared like the rest of them.

few big results on the weekend!

trouble at Vales i would say! the coach can only bowl 4 overs in first spell.. the 'best player' in the comp can only bowl 2 overs off the long run, 87 LBW appelas for the day, (even the umpire pulled them up), the keeper pulled a hammy, and most likely wont get a home semi due to the state of the ground! very over rated vales! all the pressure on them in finals! spruiked it up all year and have hit rock when it counts!

Dont know what has happened to Imps!!

Well done to crakers on a ton! always good to see seomeone make the first ton in A Turf!
However once again the star studded Laverton side misses the finals 2 years in a row.. And their 'unbelievable' effort has helped GU gain a home final! quite amazing really..

Willy Comp - Unfortunately for Imps they came up against a red hot bowling attack that generated alot of side ways movement on a pitch that gave both bowlers and batsmen an even chance. Their batsmen were under pressure from the first ball and couldn't cope with it. Interesting we played imps twice this year and they made 108, 101 and 109 maybe our bowlers have the wood over them. Chris Irving took 5 for 30 in the second dig and had all their batsmen playing and missing consistantly which topped off a great year for him taking 39 wickets the most of any bowler in the comp.

good effort 39 wickets.. did he win the Bowling Av in comp?

unusual to see a top 4 side lose outright at all, let alone last game before finals! imps are way to reilant on Robson and Hinton to get runs!

Well done to west newp though, if they keep the list togther they should have a good season next year!

I don't think he would win the bowling ave as Phipps has a ave under 10.

You could add Evans to that list one of them 3 has to get a big score against W'Vale this week for Imps to win.

We hope to maintain our list and add 2 or 3 quality players ( which are hard to find ) to it which would make us a force next year.

Well done to crackers and the lavo boys.
Digman, the Vales and Imps are all going into the finals on rocky ground while the Gorilla's are going into the finals with their tails up.....

The writing is on the wall boys.... Which side is going to stand up and make a difference and take the next step!!!!

GU aren't what they used to be but they are still a strong unit!

Will Welshy stand up again, will K. Collins ton up 2 weeks in a row, can Charlie bowl an over without a no ball in it....:D just kidding!

How many runs will be enough, 260 it wasn't this week for Digman.....
Welshy will have to ton up for Digman to have any chance.

Hinton and Robbo will have to put in a big one like always but the Vales may crumble under the pressure of finishing on top with everything to lose......

Who will make it.... time will tell!

Good luck to all playing in the finals this year, I think there's going to be some cracking games with a few suprises thrown in!!

Heard Mr Robson is sporting a broken right hand and Hinton nursing a leg injury also, out off their massive loss on saturday. Why else would Robbo bat at 11???
Anyone from Imps care to confirm/deny.
