Off to Ringwood I think. Presumably wanting to have a crack before it passes him by.
Would sit somewhere between 3s and 2s I would have thought, good luck to him. Will be better for the experience, but a big loss for NEW.
Who have Rosanna picked up? Raywood retired end of last season didn't he? and I saw that Pathan has gone to South Caulfield. That being said, they're so even that other guys will just pick up the load.
They've always seemed like a bit of a basket case since being in the DVCA. Even when they won money shield. It was off the back of a massive year from McGann, and contributions from the guys like Bubis and Berak (I assumed all three were being paid for their services) and some older club...
Shame, made for an interesting story!
Not much happening on here at the moment. Flicking through the list of clearances confirms that at the moment Greensborough are staring down the barrel with a few out, including Abeyratne.
Ok, I'll start talking from my ass.
In Money Shield I'd think sides around the mix would be:
Lalor
Banyule
NEW
________
Eltham
Heidelberg
Winner should come from one of them. Eltham still face a tough challenge of replacing Gibbs' output. But should still be around the mark, as they have...
Whilst I take your point. It's bloody difficult for all clubs to develop from within. Because it is so difficult to keep kids who transition out of juniors interested.
Clubs like DC are better than others at this atm (developing). But its a big club, perhaps the conversion % isn't actually any...
Made 700 runs at 40 across his two years. Then went into the DDCA and ECA and had a mixture of indifferent and very good years.
Having just averaged 30 in Prem 1s, David would probably think there's only one attack that might worry him. Rest will come down to if he can score on all weather...
Put it this way, Hussey scored maybe 10k runs at 45+ at first class level before he got his chance. If you're 16+ you probably would want to be in the Premier cricket system already.
Whittlesea are on a hiding to nothing this year. Big responsibility for a guy who is in his early 20s, and still hasn't worked out his own game to coach the club. Should be more worried about making a few runs than how much money he can scrape out of a club.
Bundoora musta signed him up on...
Agreed. Especially if "the bowler's a **************". If I had a dollar for everytime myself or a teammate went out only to proclaim "that guy's a **************"...
I guess it goes to show, for everyone that derides an idea there is probably one that supports it.
I like over limits, because it forces teams to pick a balanced side. ie you shouldn't have the hurst brothers bowling 20 overs each.
Apologies mate, that's me incorrectly joining the dots. Good to retain him. Had a solid season last year and can win a game or two a season off his bat.
The other two a big losses, but neither of them has huge seasons last year, if you look at last season in isolation you could certainly hope...
Fair enough. Obviously this year it's going to be a bit easier to go down.
You've lost Curtin and Hurricane Cunningham won't be terrorising batsmen with the pill. Have you lost others? How will the side compare to last season where you nearly squared the ledger.
