Nice, has it been sunny there of late? Spring seems to be fairly interchangeable in most parts of the world.

Friday and the weekend was sunny here after a wet week last week. Today was smoky due to prescribed burns but was a mostly sunny day. More of the same expected for the remainder of the week with temperatures getting into the high 20's by the weekend.

30.9 degrees today and it is late April. There's a couple of cold fronts coming in which is going to cool things right down from tonight and deliver showers for the next few days. Should be fine again by Friday though. How are things weather wise in your part of the world, @Jessica, @looker-on...

Head is a reasonable player but I don't see him as the equivalent to Maxwell. Frankly his bowling is inferior to what Maxwell offers. Agar is a bowling all-rounder at best who is not suited to batting anywhere higher than seven. He can hit a ball but is not super consistent. Turner is a good...

So how has the weather been for everyone lately? Things have cooled down here from the hot summer we had although the temperature is going to be the high 20's for the next few days and then 30 by Sunday before some showers may make a return on Monday. How was the weather for everyone over...

Andrew McDonald is the new Aussie Coach for all three formats.

It seems McDonald may have been the only candidate for the position so was appointed quickly as we've seen. Gillespie didn't want the job after what had happened to Langer while any other candidate went fairly quiet. Hopefully he will do a good job but if he doesn't then the knives will be out...

Yes, the USA is a very big country. Australia is not far behind in terms of land size either. I think the USA is more into fast paced games hence why sports such as basketball, American football, ice hockey, etc. are popular there. The only form of cricket played back then was the longest...

What a difference a week makes. It was still in the low to mid 20's during the night here earlier in the month but things have cooled right down now. We had 7.6mm of rain over Friday night/Saturday morning and then 38mm thanks to some heavy showers over Sunday. The temperature has been in the...

    2022 Australian Football League

Four rounds complete and there's only one undefeated team at the moment in Melbourne while Port Adelaide are the only side without a win. It was a very gutsy effort in the end. We were perhaps a bit fortunate at the finish but the guys certainly deserved the win after what was a stellar...

I've always been intrigued by the USA's tendency to have conferences within their major sports and the uneven draw that eventuates because of this. I understand why it happens but I always thought there would be scope to make things more even. I must say with baseball, the amount of games they...

    2022 Australian Football League

Great to get our first win of the season today!! A pretty good good game today and we showed a lot of heart against Collingwood when we were missing a number of our first choice players. Our younger players showed a lot of guts this afternoon. :thumbsu:

Finch perhaps but Maxwell and Stoinis will be around for a while. Their ability to hit a big ball in the middle order plus bowl when required gives the side a lot of all-round options.

They never have done, none of the other cricket boards do either. I agree, I believe it could have been handled better. Realistically, our best white-ball bowling attack is Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood and Zampa. That'll likely be the attack at the T20 World Cup later this year and the attack...

Cricket Australia has released the central contracted player list for 2022/23. The biggest change sees Jhye Richardson drop off the list for the coming 12 month period with Kane Richardson also losing his contract. Tim Paine has also not been offered a contract while James Pattinson has retired...

    2022 Australian Football League

We haven't had much luck thus far, a lot of injuries and players out with COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Unfortunately our gameplan is an issue in that it has become outdated. Port have been very ordinary in the opening four rounds. They do have a number of their better players out but...

Very much so, it was rather humid for a number of days there. That humid weather has gone away now though and we're more into an autumn pattern now here, 29 degrees here tomorrow after 15 degrees overnight before 32 on Thursday. After that it is cooling down into the mid the to high 20's again...

    21/22 Shield Thread

I wouldn't read too much into it, Dean played only a few games this season yet somehow won the award. He's well down the pecking order in terms of a spot in the Australian side, there'd be at least five or six guys ahead of him with regards to one of the opening batter positions which is where...
