One thing I'll give the BBL commentary is that by and large it's pretty good. Fleming, Ponting and Gilchrist keep things light hearted while still giving great insight.
They more or less show the direction the channel 9 team could have gone if they were willing to eject some of very annoying...
How much are you going to achieve by doing that? When you hit a game you can't legally use those substances.
You're better off finding a way that works for you and you can apply for games.
My hands are reasonably soft and dry, for games I just cup and blow into my hands a lot. This warms them...
If the Bangladeshi and Indian audiences love him then great, Danny's a nice guy so it's good to hear him that he makes people happy and earn a living.
However, Danny struggles to find an audience in Aus, Eng, NZ and I'm pretty sure in SAf as well. In these countries his commentary comes across...
Standing, ripping it from 15.
One or two steps ripping it from 18-20.
Full action ripping it from full pitch.
Make sure you have a clearly defined point you're aiming the ball to bounce .
Otherwise ripping it, always ripping it
I apologise if you thought it was rude, that was the intent.
In NZ the TV station pays the commentators not the NZC.
The comparison to Bangladesh was a rebuttal of your point that he is receiving more money overseas and that is why he does not commentate in NZ. It was not meant to label...
My preference is to practice the full 22 yards with a placid batsman facing. By placid I mean blocking the good balls and playing the bad balls conservatively.
For me the batsman is important as you need the feedback from the 'enemy' on what you are doing.
Bowling off less than 22 yards is...
At least Ian Smith is willing to admit when he is wrong, something nearly all current commentators should try and do.
Add Danny Morrison to he super annoying list, I've always said that a danger sign is if a commentator can't get a commentating job in their own country...
Fielding was well poor from England as well, basically handed Australia 20 extra runs.
Can't comment on England's Womens team T20 set up but fitness and fielding has to be big on the agenda surely? Not many boundaries in Women's T20 so if you can cut off those 2's and 3's you will win.
With Dave's grip and from that position, to get the ball down the other end his wrist rotates out and the ball ends up more like a 'square' leg break rather than a backspinner if his wrist stayed where it was.
Sodhi is in the form of his life after finally being given time in First Class cricket before returning to the team, he's certainly making doubters like me eat my words!
Still, early days. The side has a good mix of technically good batsman and hitters but batting remains our weak point.
He's improved a lot and hopefully England will look to use him in tests.
Main issue in India could be his much maligned pace through the air, Indian pitches tend to be slower so the slower the bowler the easier it is to adjust.
Here's hoping he gets it right and makes an impact, watching...
Man does NZ need proper batting and bowling coaches, fielding seems to be all right though.
Seriously, how much damage has Mascarenhas done? Bond had Boult and Southee mowing teams down, Dmitri has turned them into Brent Arnel impersonators.
Guptill can bat when he knows what he needs to do...
I completely agree, Smith is a very good captain as shown by his planning for Williamson and the NZ middle order. Isn't it weird how batting failures are blamed on the captain and not on the selectors?
He just needs to start taking these losses on the chin, nothing wrong with setting high...
Damn straight, when Australia have all their players on deck they are a champion side.
Serious problems if the Aussie top 3 fail, NZ look like they have a game plan for Smith and that bottom order won't contribute as much as they do in Oz.
From a NZ perspective, Mark Craig?
No, there was an appeal from the catch, a crap appeal but an appeal nonetheless and that requires a decision from the umpires. The fault all lies with the umpires for not giving a decision straight away or referring it straight away if they had doubt.
I realise that you are not a believer of the slider.
The best explanation the slider is that it is an undercut legbreak, it has all the drift benefits of a normal legbreak and on a good pitch it does not turn.
It is very easy to bowl on purpose and to the average batsman it looks like a...
