Australia In New Zealand 16

When an umpire deliberately gives the wrong decision you have to ask why. Unfortunately for hazelwood he went about it the wrong way. He knew it with the guilty verdict.
That's a bit rough. It was clear in the replay that there was a small hotspot. Either the tech is in or out. The issue is more that this is not what the referral system was meant to be about. It was to remove the howler. That was no howler that was a tough but good decision. He had a doubt so the batsman got the benefit. That is the rule and has stood for a long time. The tech just blurred the line in a bad way.

As nairbie says, it was the correct decision, Australia referred it, then weren't happy when it came back that they were still wrong...

Not sure what to make of this article - is this guy just stirring the pot?
stirring a bit but certainly not off the mark. A typical POMMY you would expect no less than the desperate need to remind us they hold the ashes. I don't fancy their chances of retaining it and the real test will come when we next tour the UK. Then when they are flogged Australia can claim superiority to the old enemy. The real trick is to perform in India.
