Not at all, I haven’t seen a lot of Barclay Shield recently - well past my heyday Can only go off familiar names.

Who do they have that would be on big money? Outside of Justin Whitcher I wouldn’t recognise any of those names on their last round from last year. Ridewood maybe?

I believe they still have a majority of the Mash & Money shield winning teams playing. didn’t they make the finals?

I’m not sure what value a topic like this adds or why you would even bother raising it.

I’m interested to know if any new teams will be joining the comp and if any existing will cease to exist. I saw Heidelberg West have not been able to form a committee in the Jika. hopefully that stays away from the DVCA.

Just my personal view - but clubs that need to announce players staying doesn’t speak volumes about the commitment of the individuals to the team long term. Just a it fits my preference now but in a couple of years time it won’t. Not calling just specifically Epping many other clubs as well.

I did appreciate the live streaming of their grand finals with audio. It added something better to the game. Even having a weekly show where the league is spoken about is a terrific incentive. Not all doom and gloom in the NMCA. The level of cricket might be below Barclay & some Money shield...
