Who is coaching Mernda

Mernda - We’re super excited to announce the appointment of experienced all-rounder, Rob Turnbull as our senior coach for season 2023/24!
Rob brings a mountain of high-level experience to the club; he started his cricket journey in the Diamond Valley, before moving on to have a successful career at Vic Premier Club, Northcote, then a long career in England where he played until he recently made the move home to Australia with his family.
He’s amassed 39 hundreds with a HS of 209, and boasts best bowling figures of 7/18 against the likes of Jimmy Anderson, Freddie Flintoff, Brad Hodge, Jamie Siddons and Merv Hughes on grounds like the iconic MCG and Old Trafford in Manchester.

Barclay shield losing one of the best umpires from last year. Already low on umpires across the entire association, definitely doesn’t help with him giving it up to play again.
