Re: how to keep your cricket bat in good condition
Good post for people to read, couple of points though.
Personally i would leave the bat stored inside a bin Bag or similar, but not sealed, just to stop moisture and damp from affecting the bat. Under the stairs or a cupboard is uaully...
Re: Ask the Umpire!
well purely on the fact that the bowler knows the keeper is standing up to the stumps and he must be able to see that! so he really should be bowling in the slot or close to it!
Re: Hole in toe
i really try not to put too much oil on the actual toe.
my poor Newbery samurai is on a diet from Linseed oil at the moment it has a bad habit of swallowing more than it needs!
Re: Hole in toe
and there was me thinking it was going to be another thread about Bowlers shoes!
The hole in the bat you will get told are the following.
A: Where the Bat is put on a Lather for spiining the handle and shaping.
or
B: Where your supposed to put a drop of oil to stop...
Re: Indoor Cricket - Tactics?
it depends on the batsmen,
we all play differently, we understand how to bat with each other, some are stand and deliver batsmen and other more of the athletic type!

Re: Wicketkeeping extras
As a Wicket Keeper i have to stick with Liz, its all about instinct.
The Best thing you can do is A, Get the basics right and Then Practise them untill you are bored and dont want to be a wicket keeper any more! and then once you have done that. Practice some more...

Re: Fake cricket bats

My county Bat i hand picked the wood and specs. I dont have stickers on it but every one asks. Its all about the WOOD and how its made!
