Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Bambury will be coaching in Geelong next year my tip. Isn't that right Bam Bam (haven't heard from you on this thread in a while)??
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Is that a hint that P.Kane will be taking over the reigns from Whitey?? And does that mean Whitey has to drop to the thirds which is a more appropriate standard for someone of his skill level?
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Lads, your mail is pretty spot on. Dangerous left armer Brett Mason is injured and will not play. Replacement will be either Yeany who has not played for sometime and could breakdown at any stage in the match, but still has that killer instinct and is a great...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Yeah you are right Delmenico & Miller carried Wendouree thru, and Allan & Bambury have carried Ballarat Redan. The difference is that Mt.Clear have been even right accross the board. The big players usually stand up in Grand Finals but it takes a full team...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Well couple of your predictions were right! Naps missed finals again, still a second rate unit. Ballarat Redan into third straight Grand Final -couple of players holding together some average players...could it be three straight losses...? Mt.Clear smashed...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Could really bolster their two's with Banwell! Sad part about Naps is that they would rather win another seconds flag by stacking that team than make the finals in the A grade where it counts. Nobody will ever take them seriously until they win a 1sts...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Simon Allan shouldn't win it on ability but he has taken 40 wickets this season!
Heath Pyke will be right up there for sure. Bam Bam you would have to be a chance wouldn't you??
Now more importantly did anyone notice that Ballarat's country week captain...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Yes Bam Bam would have thought you would slot yourself straight into any team....are you captain of that as well? Well done on the Vic Country win none the less.
Bouncer - any truth at Wendouree to the rumour that Yates actually ate his bride on the honeymoon?
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
This years country week squad would have to be one of the worst selected in a long time! Brett Jones from Point as captain is ridiculous.....has he even been to country week before??
If only the BCA would put together the best possible team it could...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Top four in no particular order will be Wendouree, Golden Point, Mt.Clear, and Naps/Sebas..........Ballarat Redan are suspect and playing above themselves at this stage. Naps have some very good young players especially in the batting, whereas Ball/Redan have...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
I think the decision stands once the finger goes up, batsman should walk and not show dissent or question the decision as Pyke did (didn't one of your players get 4 weeks for something less, as posted above on this thread?).
Like the 3 behind square rule...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
As a supporter of Ballarat Cricket I was at the game, and the umpiring was fine Loftsy and that other bloke did a good job and missing the fielding restrictions no-ball was a mistake that nearly all of us could have made. (Don...88 excluded)
It looks like...
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
The newspaper tells me that it was a very competitive game played in good spirits right down to the wire. Pyke obviously hit them well for the Target Heads? Looks like Mt.Clear may have needed another 5-10 runs to clinch it, were you at the game?
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
The Don - say something useful and inciteful for once instead of the endless dribble you have come up with so far...............do you know of anything cricket related that has occured recently?
Re: Ballarat Cricket Association
Looks like Ballarat Redan blew a winning chance losing 7/30 at the end to leave Knowlesy stuck on 99 not out - unlucky.
Simon Allan another 5-for (thats 4 games in a row now), is he the bolter for the EJ Cleary??
Six realistic teams left in the race for a...
