Round Four of the Sheffield Shield began today with Victoria taking on Queensland at Allan Border Field. Victoria won the toss and elected to bat, a surprising decision given the greenish look of the wicket.
The decision to bat first was not a great one as Victoria were rolled for just 63, their lowest completed score in 95 years. Mark Steketee continued his outstanding start to the Shield season with 5/18 while Michael Neser claimed 4/22 to destroy Victoria.
In reply, Queensland are 6/130, leading by 67 runs. Neser is 30 not out at stumps, continuing on from his excellent bowling effort.
