9th feb results?

Re: 9th feb results?

MGS vs Xavier (at Xavier)

Xavier batted and were 2-1 then 3-16 and looked in real trouble

Curtain dug in and made an elegant 40 before falling to bett who ended with 3for. Rory Mitchell ended up with 4.

Xavier were bowled out at 5.30pm for 171 on a pitch that was flattening out

MGS survived the 5 remaining overs in the days play and were 0-11 at stumps with S.Land and T.Morris both not out.

a 50 run opening partnership put MGS in firm control however 3 wickets with the score on 56 including dangerman and occasional right arm offspinner Charles Shaw

Richie Thomas made 90 and put it beyond doubt as MGS ran away victors by 5 wickets in a clinical but not flawless performance

'team morale +6'

scotch vs haliebury (at scotch)

big game for the scotchies to stay in the hunt for the premiership and didnt they pull out a performance this game. after losing talismanic batsman clayton in first over, and then mather soon after things were lookin grim but jamie macmillan and ayrton eldridge again established themselves as arguably the best 3/4 partnership in the aps - certainly next year. jmac went on to score his second ton in 3 games with a majestic 115 odd. soon after departing eldridge and the arctic wolfeman steadiede the ship and added another massive partnership to leave the cardinal boys 3/252 at stumps eldridge on 91 and wolfe on 40. the next mornin wolfe went for 49 and eldridge 107 but mcmahon dug in deep with a cameo 34 not out to steer the ship to 7 / 362 dec.

the scotchies started brilliantly with 3 wickets fallin in 45 minutes to hav those wankers reelin at 3 for 30 at lunch. wakefield made a solid 72 and gunnston made the worst 60 i think anybody has eva seen to give them a whiff but there hopes were soon dashed when 3 wickets fell before tea to have them 6/160 odd. it was only a matter of time before the rest got themselves out martin adding an appalling 50 before wolfe and mo clayton cleaned up the tail for scotch to win by 100 runs. grose had 3, wolfe 2 and clayton 2 in a stirring performance by the dark horse of the comp.

if u think this report is biased then u must b a halieburian bcos noone else has any sympathy for a group of pricks like them. shove it ur FU$%in asses u jackasses.

Re: 9th feb results?

Wesley v Brighton (at Harry Trott)

Brighton smashed the Violet Crumbles outright !

Brighton won toss and batted. 3 for 203 at stumps (Nathan Plumridge 87 no, Robbie Wallis 42 no)

Declared at 4 for 283 (Plumridge 109 not out, Wallis 96)

Wesley all out about 139 (I think) at 4.15pm (Plumridge 4 wickets for not many)

Wesley sent back in and crumbled for 62 in less than 2 hours (1st ball of last over)

Michael Singh 5 wickets, Sam Walker 4, Nathan Plumridge 1, Angus Graham 6 catches at 1st slip for the match.

Gairns contributed 1 & 0. Big day for the boy. Great effort from Plumridge.

mate you're a loser, but thats beside the point, since when has Mo clayton ever made a run in his life???? he would have to be the most overrated player in the comp... i believe that is now 2 years in a row he has fallen in the first over against Haileybury?!?!

Mate i agree it was a very good win, but i thought Haileybury held themselves well after the game. Ironically, i thought this years team lead by M. Wakefield weren't a bad bunch of blokes in general, they were more gracious than other years. By the way does that Tom Morris guy go to MGS who played for the emus? Has he always been at grammar?

Here is the big muppet at it again. When did you say Goss was a slogger? You meant Cross remember?
And now you say Xavier are cocky and arrogant. Can you roll out the proof of that? Or is that opinion from a Xavier hater?

Re: 9th feb results?

Scotch just beat Haileybury within the final hour. THey should have smashed a haileybury team without the likes of patto, r wakefield and lynchy bowling, and patto and r. wakefield not batting. When do scotch play skevs? Cos skevs will easily beat scotch

Re: 9th feb results?

Scotch did smash hailiebury, who were vastly depleted without wakefield and pattinson. Although just bowling them out in the last hour, scotch had hailiebury on toast all day after having them 3/11. St Kevins will not smash scotch next week.

shaw and gooley popped in to see the score for 10 minutes on their way home, after they had just beaten xavier convincingly. Get your facts right 'walk em' - with their game having finished so early, they obviously just wanted to see what two of the teams they have to play are like. Just helps them win a premiership a little bit more knowing a bit about the opposition...haileybury (depleted at the moment), scotch (no good against quality)

Re: 9th feb results?

besides a loss in the first game against xavier, scotch have been a force in the aps comp winning 4 games in a row against the likes of hailiebury and carey in the last 2 weeks, couldnt have had a better run of form going into the St Kevs fixture next weekend. This match could tell us whether or not scotch are the contender they say they are.

So what if Shaw called in on his way home. When you have made the runs he has in the APS you get the right to comment - and put your name to it.
