yeah i havnt seen wright either..fair enough on sundberg...only year 9 though will be a gun cricketer..

talking about guns in the future

yr 8 plays for peninsula

bowls very quick for his age could quite easily be opening the bowling but hard when u have a bowling attack such as peninsula's

has already made 2 tons in his career

too bad cricket will probs loose him to footy eventually played in vic team for u/15s as a bottom age last year for footy

brown probs best keeper/batsman

bloke from pen is best keeper
tooklegside stumping off there opening bowler last year against us
and looked even sharper this yr

and he was actually a good bloke to me when i was batting

gun keeper, always has been, can keep to everyone up the jump, cept burnell, but his just serious rapid heat,

there is no doubt that peninsula has the best depth
that ive seen
i havnt seen ack
but i dont think they have any1 other then wright
most teams bat till about 6
in camberwells case till 3
and most have 1 or 2 good bowlers
in camberwells case 0
where peninsula bat till 10
and have 5 genuine good bowlers
and yes the best keeper in the legue
looking forward to see ack vs pen
will be a ripping game and a premiership game by the looks of it

Assumption have 3. wright with 2 . dan evans with 1. and james ingham with 1. so wen peninsula matches it they can comment.. mate in the agsv it happens every yr that ordinary batsmen string together a 50 at one stage of the yr.. seen it happen in a few games last yr when ud c a number 7 who slogged a bit get an ordinary 50 wen u walked off d ground and checked d score books... so untill u tell me how many 100s hav been made in peninsulas side this yr dont tell me they hav d best depth

its funny how no-one tlks up peninsula's batsme

from what ive seen peninsulas anyone of peninsula's top 10 bats would get a gig in trinity's top 5 and also marcellins and camberwells and yarra valleys
that shows the depth

we dont need to make tons
the 6 six batsmen have all made 50s
so when it comes down to a wright, and goes out for bugga all, who will they rely on, dan evans hasnt popped up so far, nor this ingham,
so truth is, id rather a team that you can get a 50 out of ya top 6, than a team with 1 gun batsmen because the team will look to and rely to make them a match winning totals
but dont under estimate peninsulas bowling aswell, rolled camberwell at camberwell for 120, rolled trinity for 200 atpeninsula, yarra for 180 at peninsula and marcelling for 130,
so you make assumptions mate!

if i was playing a side id rather them have 1 bloke make 100 and the next top score be 20 then play a side like pen who have 2 blokes make 60 odd someone else make 40 odd and someone else make 30 odd
it pisses you off when you have partnerships where both batsmen dont look like going out
its not hard to give someone like wright a single and get the other bloke on strike.

to prove this look at the peninsula team from 2 years ago we had the likes of Ben Clements Dale elmi Glynn truman all of which play district firsts batting in top 5 we had clemo make 3 tons for the yr elmi 1 glyn 1 and adams 1
and we finished 3rd
this yr we havnt had any make tons and we havnt lost a game
u do the maths

Last yr Assumption had 7 tons made in the yr..
Only twice did Assumption get bowled out i believe..

Jimmy Ingham's last 3 digs in the agsv have been:
1 - 4*
2 - 13 caught behind but did not hit it (umpire apologised after)
3 - 3 caught down legside off a ball which was flicked to leg off a bowler swinging it into him

and last sunday against crusaders
caught one handed diving 3rd slip for 1

all is fair, but he has just had a rough trot. happens reguarly.

thats the problem, he has to overcome, and maybe he shouldnt get into these situation thats the umpires have to make a choice!

look at d stats.

4 guys made 100s... 1 of those made 4 of them.. and there was alot of guys who chipped in there 20s and 30s... that therefore proves ur theory wrong if u hav 3 guys in this yrs team capable of getting 100..


also its clear that in most teams every1 all d way down d order can bat due to being able to select from all yr levels.. so all sides lyk assumption need is a few to chip in 20 or 30 along with der big names getting runs and u hav no chance

Im starting to feel that the game Assumption v Peninsula will have a lot more meaning to it then once felt a few weeks ago. The hype on big cricket is immensley increasing whilst top spot is up for grabs...All i have to say is good luck to both teams and may the best team win!!
