Played against most of them, but really for a lot of them their reputation does most of the talking e.g. Gotch, Ogle, Buchanan and the like

If you'd read earlier comments you'd know that papadopolous bowls leggies, but hasn't been bowling this year due to a hip injury

top spreads would go to geelong grammar with their boarding lunch, hits the spot well along with carey's afternoon tea, both being quite memorable.
Up there with the best is the lasagna at haileybury...
with a rain interrupted season, lunches have been a rare occasion.
thoughts on speeches?
personally o'beirne a very good public speaker, any other well spoken skippers?

try and fit in russ and wood with russ recently hitting a ton and has handy offies

Fair call, although russ did make a 100 on the w/e.
My spread opinions hmmmm.
I did not rate Melbourne Grammar's in the slightest there tea especially was extremely poor, wesley had an allround quality spread and tea and lunch devo we played haileybury at home and same with geelong missed out on 2 quality spreads although i rate caulfield's highly.
Brede Seccull spoke pretty well when we played them, Gotchy always speaks well and rumours are pat tiernan is a beast of a public speaker so i will see this week

Buchanan looks in great form this year, and ogle is bowling express

Can not believe Caulfield finished 4th this year as they have poached so much talent from other schools and still they can't win. Seem to loose games they shouldn't and always under achieve. With players such as Gotch and Paynter you would think it would be a walk in the park but I suppose champion players do not make a champion team.
