Did you know that back in 2005 the Aussie team were trying to stamp out the sledging?
Somehow you don't care....

That was atfter the Steve Waugh mental disintergration era?

Ask your contacts, they'll tell you.

Rumours are surfacing about Gambhir saying that he has got a 1 week holiday for the elbow incident.

Heard the same on 720 abc radio.

They will appeal, no doubt.

I believe they will appeal to ensure that he can play in the 4th Test.
That is exactly what the ABC Commentators are saying.
I reckon that Gambhir should take it on the chin. Cricket is a non contact sport. This is Gambhir's second time doing this. He did it late last year against England.

I had to laugh when everyone on the ground had to lie flat on the oval all because of bees. Fair enough, but it made me laugh.

The gorilla in Symonds' midst - Peter FitzSimons - Columns - Sport - smh.com.au

If you can't get it to work go to the Sydney Morning Herald and find Peter Fitzsimon's article "The gorilla in Symonds' midst" published on Saturday October 18, 2008

In the link above schwab2clarkson, you'll find that Andrew Symond's called Robin Uthappa a baby Gorilla in the Perth Test match. I wasn't going to put this up but just had to pop the bubble that is your ego.

Funny isn't it when an Australian calls an Indian a monkey its not spoken about in the Aussie media? Funny how other teams don't cry when they get called names?

To everyone else sorry for posting in the thread without being relevant.
Yeah only those who are racist do that.
I don't read articles that racially attack one of my favourite cricketers in Andrew Symonds.

Re: Australia in India

Australia doing pretty well with the bat, 2/237 at tea. Ponting is 61 not out currently with Hussey on 13.

Sehwag took the wicket of Hayden, out LBW for 83.

Last session will be a lengthy one with India's over rate down seven overs.

Did you even read what the article or the poster was talking about?

Andrew Symonds allegedly called one of the Indian players a little gorilla. ie: he was the one doing the racial taunting.........

Spewing that Haden didnt get his 100.

Ponting looks very good.

Hussey doning a job.

240/2
We need one of these starts to really carry on. One of Ponting, Hayden or the Kat had to go on and make a really big 100 to help us out this time- which leaves Ponting! ;)

Yeah I agree with you. Unfortunately I think it was a dodgey call as the LBW looked a tad high.

Could've gone both ways.

Ball did look like it kept low.

I agree.

However Gambhir pleading guilty initially has not helped his cause.

He wont get off imo, there is to be no contact of that nature, ever in International Test Cricket.

Just to back you up there BM, apparently it can take a good while as they have to find somebody from a neutral country to actually sit through the appeal.
Gambhir should just cop the week's holiday.

Re: Australia in India

aussies 294/3

Sehwag just got ponting for 87 and Hussey just survived a run out.

He is 33 off 104 balls.....

Did it?

Looked to be just below, but he is probably unlucky.

Dammit.

Looked out from what I saw. Didn't really get forward and despite getting hit on the kneeroll, he didn't get forward enough. The faster one outdid him.

At stumps, Australia are 4/338. Mike Hussey fell with 10 minutes remaining for 53, another wicket to Virender Sehwag. It's the part-timers who are doing the damage in this game, Sehwag has three wickets now, Katich being the part-timer who got a wicket when India was batting. For Australia, Michael Clarke is on 21 and Shane Watson is 4 not out, with the Aussies being 275 runs behind with two days to go. They should avoid the follow-on but they need to get as close as they can on day four to ensure the series will still be alive heading into the final test. You'd think that if Australia can bat until tea tomorrow the game will be very, very hard for either side to win.
