Australia in India

Re: Australia in India

All out 355.

India lead on first innings by 86 runs and will have to face 1, maybe 2 overs tonight.

Re: Australia in India

India will face one over tonight, my guess is it will be bowled by Krejza.

Brett Lee batting at 11, he won't be happy with that. :D

Edit: Appears Lee has the infamous "Delhi Belly" which explains why be didn't bowl many over in India's first innings and why he batted at eleven.

Re: Australia in India

Johnson bowls the final over and unsuprisingly it is a maiden.

So, India 0/0 at stumps on day three, they lead by 86 runs and are in the box seat with two days remaining. India will be in no rush at this point, they'll be quite happy to go slow as they only need to draw the match to win the series. Australia meanwhile must attack and attack fiercely as they need wickets in order to keep their chances of winning this test alive. Jason Krejza may hold the key again in only his first test.

Re: Australia in India

Brett Lee was only able to bat at number 11 today due to having a severe bout of gastro.

It is most likely that the game will end in a draw.

Re: Australia in India

Fair call that.

I expect Matty to bounce back v the Kiwis down under.

If not then I, one of his biggest fans, will be calling for his head.

And here we go, play is about to start.

Thats the problem for Australia, they play the Kiwis so anyone who was under the pump after this tour will perform in the next series and keep their place for a while longer

Anyone who doesnt peform against the Kiwis deserves to get dropped

Re: Australia in India

Indians move along to 125/1

Vijay just fell for 41 LBW to Watson

Krezja is going at 6.5 an over

and

Sehwag is on 85 off 99 balls, he is 39 off 24 balls.....

Lead standing at 215 runs.

Re: Australia in India

Watson gets Dravid caught behind for 3.

2/132 now.

And Krezja had Sehwag LBW in the first session but Billy failed to raise the finger.

Re: Australia in India

Lee strikes first ball back and gets Sehwag out caught behind for 92.

The wicket we needed, top innings by Sehwag though.

Re: Australia in India

Interesting stat, "Virender Sehwag's 92 is his second-highest score ever while batting in the second innings. His highest score was 151 against Australia in Adelaide."
