The whole Redan Football Club have signed by the looks of it. Barker, Beckham, Field, Nunn, the Smiths, Waight and Honda

Nicho, Honda signed! Probably the biggest signing since Leigh Thompson for BRCC!

Also, have you got blakey back for whole season this year?

So you're not expecting too much from him then Gibba.

By the way Well done on the weekend.

Shitting yourself are you dean? Dont worry we are having a sausage sizzle to raise money to have him back for the Brown Hill game. The upper class is still dark on that semi match so they are trying to make amends. He actually has a sam giblett head on his toilet door as practice. haha you know your shitting. i would too.

Come someone at Mt.Clear tell me why Nicho didn't get captain? Surely a bloke of his character gets the job before Goons who has only been there for only a year? Got me stumped why Mt.Clear wouldn't want you captain Nicho!!!

What grade does Leigh Thompson play. Can't remember anyone in A grade called that.
Should be a good weekend for cricket. I predict a one day game for a lot of grades. Weather does not look good.

Dean Waugh when will these guys start playing and are you starting before xmas this year?

BCA need to pencil in one day games every year to start season imo.

Nunn, Hyden, & Smith will play Rd 1. Myself, won't play til r2 or 3. Done a hammy during half time heros on satdy!

Think BRCC will be big improvers this year, good recruit in fridge brown.

Not sure Nunn will play round 1 for you boys. I think he will rely on our committee decision to clear him tonight which will probably happen but don't quote me on that. I doubt we'll try and hang on to him although we would like to have him don't get me wrong.

Fridge won't play until R3 I think it is, got stuff on. Leigh Thomson to play 5ths R1, failed to reach level 3 on the beep test Saturday morning. Few very handy recruits, signed up ex-Preston player yesterday whose name I don't know. Jarrod Allan bowling again (full tilt after xmas), Matt Hoey back and firing, Sprouler doing what he does, Langer being just as annoying as ever, myself back in the mix potentially..........old Deano might be on the money. Surely we can improve to be better than 9th!!

Goonan took a pay cut where I wanted a raise. He is getting 50% less then what he got last year.

Thanks for clearing that up Deano. Make me look a fool why don't ya! I can do that myself thankyou very much!!
For the record we decided to clear Luke Nunn tonight anyway. He could play up the grades if he had a crack.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association 09/10

Indeed, they did.

Good to see the teams feature in The Courier yesterday and today - I know they have done it in previous years, but not with the same flair.

Can almost smell the cut grass !

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association 09/10

I'm not in the inner sanctum so I can't give you the exact reasons, but I would hazard a guess to say that:

1. He was very much a required and valued player, having won our B & F last year;
2. The club had given him a lot (opportunities, coaching, junior captaincy roles etc);
3. Fellow players within the club had given him a lot - accommodation, employment etc;

I suppose the Club felt that he still had a long way to go before he had repaid what he had got out of the Club.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association 09/10

With rain forecasted all week, i can't see many turf wickets getting up this weekend. Has the BCA confirmed grounds for RD 2 as yet?

Confirmed....

BCA Clubs

Due to the rain situation early in this week, there will be no turf matches. With some of the better hard wickets still not available by council from works after footy season on them, the Pennant Committee have released that the following 2 senior & 1 junior grade will be on SUNDAYS 18 & 25 October 2009.

Club Second Grade (use same as most First grounds from Saturday play).

Club Foutth Grade

U 14 Green Section _ Green Division

Please advise your Captains/Coaches accordingly.

========================================================================================================

With a let up in wet conditions/hard wicket footy played on grounds & most turf wickets expected for Round 3, we hope that all grades will return to Saturday play in Round 3 commencing 31/10/2009
