Surely you naps boys would be happier discussing this somewhere a little more private.... Say in a steam room or the showers after practice...

You just don't poach young blokes that have been brought up through the ranks. We wouldn't do it and I reckon the majority of Ballarat clubs wouldn't either.

Poor form.

is it true? golden point rejected moores clearance ..... because they dont want too. FACE HIM ?

Not at all. Some of us have to work. You Darley blokes can probably spend all day down at the local community centre or Centrelink using their free internet connection but I've got to put food on the table.

By the way, we knocked back Pete's clearance. Your move.

free internet steveO. and you doing this at school? free internet for you steveo.....

ummmm hang on now Steve O. So Golden Point weren't actively courting one Brendon Burns in the recent past????????

And i could've sworn I can recall a few years ago one Steve O'Loughlin continually persuading a Johnny Bray to leave Naps and join Point. To the point where Point's board member at the time Neil Lee contacted Johnny Bray about joining Point. and the reason Neil Lee contacted Johnny was because it was suggested to him by 1 Steve O'Loughlin that he should do so.

these are only examples I'm aware of and I'm sure there's been others

Fair enough you're disappointed about the current chain of events but don't go as far to try and claim Point are holier then thou............

No, Steve. I'm not at all. We did go after those blokes. I'm referring to kids. John and Burnsy were hardly kids and had been at those clubs as a senior for a long time. But no, I'm talking about kids who've not been in the system for long.

Oh and an interesting one on that is I actually played all my juniors with John at Buninyong.

Giving Matt Cape your business card after playing them last year and on the back of it saying. You can coach Golden Point next year, call to discuss remuneration...... Capey didnt show me the card but it was words to that effect anyway. I would have thought that Capey has played all his junior career at Darley...

Rumours alo swirling that you rang the DCC president drunk & abusive recently as well.

I do sense the start of a great rivalry. Have been looking for one since we joined. Can we call it the Peter Moore cup?????

Once again, not a kid.

Don't worry I was at work quiet day on the work front. Got the footy tips in read the herald sun online, updated the dream team and thought I would have a look at big cricket. Yes it is free internet at work for me but they pay for it at home as well so either way it is free. Not from Darley but from reading all the posts on here it sounds like the place to be in the short term future!!

RIGHT-O!!! HOW ABOUT A CEASE-FIRE GENTLEMEN!!!

I do admit I enjoy participating in this chatroom and I certainly do get sucked into the conversations. I am of course a Ginger Ninja and get fired-up pretty easily too.

But I must say being involved here has allowed me, through private messages, to get a far greater appreciation of several blokes who I haven't always seen eye to eye on the field with (thanks Leechy and Nicko).

Let's just all remember that this should be a bit of fun and an outlet, and although we can get pumped up, as my old mate from Darley told me tonight, we are involved for the love of it.

Now ..... any of you pricks want another barney???

Go Pointieheads!

That's why I shave my head. And when it grows long I am quite boufant. No one tends to get into me about the hair. A year ago I got it from Chris Banwell about my moon tan. But then Chris hopped into the nicest bloke in the comp, Peter Kane, about his Mum so I wasn't too concerned about him commenting on my pale complexion.

Yes I was and a bit of banter just makes me concentrate that much more... Was just wondering what the best sledge SteveO had copped about his hair colour... I think he knows I don't mean anything by it as I said I was just being curious cause having dark hair I have never had to worry about it... But I have dished out a few....

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association

hey fellas. i've been reading up on these posts for quite some time now but now on the eve of the season starting i thought i'd put in my two cents. ballarat redan are a force to be reckoned with. upon arriving in ballarat quite a number of years ago shane skontra has proved a valueable friend. and with him at the helm this year we should all be in for a promising season. it would certainly take a brave man|@ to write us off (Cllllllllooooooooowwwwwwwwnnnnnn), thats for sure. all the best for the up coming season. langer out@|
