I heard during Riversides bowling innings some of the Bundoora spectators were getting stuck into them and they were biting back. Might explain the carry on although not sure that would have affected the massive send off Bhalla got

Fair sized send off. Even paras in the second innings copped one. It’ll be interesting to hear about it hopefully in the coming weeks of what actually happened
 
Riverside, oh Riverside, given many of us so much satisfaction this weekend. Maybe poaching another 3 players from a club on its knees will win them a final next year?

Such an Arrogant club. I bet the umpires didn’t report anyone for giving a send off.
They’re a protected species. Given everyone in the valley so much satisfaction this weekend.
 
One of riversides batsman was given out in the first innings at the 6 second mark on frogbox, batsman didn't leave the pitch until the 20 second point just staring at the umpire. Embarrasing tactics

Feel like Montmorency is too small for a Barclay final.
Plenty is a nice ground.

Wonder why Banyule or Heidelberg don’t put their hands up.

Mont hosting Barclay Shield, would have thought after refusing to host C grade Grand Final last year between Lower Plenty vs Plenty they would have been in the DVCA bad books…. However very strong Mont influence on the exec….

Also playing Shield Grand finals at Rosebank & Rivergum…. Both venues are a horrible experience for a grand final.

Horrible ground selections.
 
There'd be a few punters keeping an eye on the mercury this Saturday. 37* and sunny according to the BOM so will probably be hotter than that in the LP/Monty area
