how many runs has chancellor made? has he made a ton?

270 odd at 55 with one ton.

loorham hasnt been at his best with 2 ducks and a 9 although has been stunning behind the pegs.

mate you cant go around making bold statements that he is much better than another player when the stats dont even stack up in his odds, crosshas 320 with a big ton i hear

Cross is a quality player, he has been in the 1's since yr 10, and his ton against geelong, pure class

Wasnt he dropped three times? If so how is that "pure class"?

one genuine dropped catch, and maybe one half chance, he made it in 109 balls though, not bad for someone who everyone says is no good

Re: Best Batsman

macmillan (327 @ 55) and wolfe (last years aps captain) would go close to the best 4-5 combo in the aps....

mate chancellor has batted 5 times in 6 games with a bye cross has batted 7 times so at this stage u cant directly compare stats, cross is a good player but neither he nor chancellor are near the best batsmen in the aps.

Re: Best Batsman

Macmillan clearly must be a very very good player and wolfe is a seasoned campaigner but...
Best 4 and 5 combo: cannot go past shaw and keath. Shawdinger/shazzleberry's stats speak for themselves (over two years of aps cricket), as do keathdogg's (with double g, ala snoop dogg) - (a ton to his name which he made when he was only in yr 9!! and still continues to churn out the runs)
Curtain batting wherever he does for xavier should also be up there - he is a top player

Most underrated bowler in aps : Louis Cameron - genuine heat (as all gc players will attest to) and had abt 5 edges in a brilliant spell, none of which unfortunately yielded a wicket but nonetheless excellent bowling on the hume highway.

'Brucey baby' Gooley and Rossco Thomas most underrated batsmen in the APS, but TJ also wields the willow with supreme power (not to mention a Chris Gayle arm)!

Stu dog 'jaaaaaames' bett also makes for some highly useful doosras/muralis and cheeky lower order batting.

Obviously very bias towards MGS and there arrogant players

Re: Best Batsman

also watch out for two young up and comers - Marcus Richards (gun top order batsman) and Tony Hennessy (bowls lightning)! They are pushing for a place in the 1s having dominated Yr 8 cricket with 100s and 7 wicket hauls to their names!!!

Re: Best Batsman

Is it really that biased - You clearly didnt read that I did make special attempt to note the quality of the scotch and xavier players, and i dont think many would disagree that shaw and keath are up there - their stats genuinely do substantiate their claims as best 4 and 5 bats.
As for Louis Cameron, not many people have faced him so i dont expect you to agree. But he still has another year left of APS cricket.

But seriously mate Bruce, Ross and TJ are all class
- as are Georgey boy and Stu Dogger

Keithy is good, but not in the top players in the APS this year
He will be awsome next year

Re: Best Batsman

He must have around 230 + runs from 5 knocks, so as a yr 10 i dont think he is doing too badly at all!.....i think curtain would be the only one to top him??

Imagine what this kid will do when he is in year 12, scary to even contemplate

Re: Best Batsman

I know we're talking about best batsmen in the APS but just wondering who holds the 'record' for most ducks in the APS season because looking through the books after the Carey v Haileybury game, Nainhabo hasnt scored a run in 4 digs this season and he'd be pretty close i rkn
