Think the Werribee centre called me up to do some umpiring for them once. Too far away so I said no.

I umpired for about 3 years.

I live in Hoppers so it's just around the corner, so I umpire there. I've only played at Hoppers and Werribee, though. I don't play a high level. Like you said, the centre isn't bad, terrible location though.

I played at Hoppers twice, lost there both times. The pitch there plays funny as well. Didn't enjoy it too much at Hoppers

I actually found it held up heaps and you couldn't bowl short, if you did, just camp on the back foot and slap it. But sometimes it shot through if it was pitched up. I remember getting on the front foot to drive a ball there once and it hit my top hand on the bat, spat up at me out of no-where

Well I spose that explains Hoppers. Bouncey one day, holds up another. I played there for a while, U16's with some mates when I was 13 or 14. Tough stuff. Can't remember if we did well, all I remember was that the bowlers are crap. Lol. Werribee is usually good, quite consistant I've found.

At least people can see that the thread is being used, so that helps!

Re: BigCricket Senior Squad

Yes but the quality of posting has fell in this thread mate. Its being used as an MSN convo mostly with one line posts. That is something I don't want. :)

Re: BigCricket Senior Squad

Boncer has been a no show for awhile (Last Activity: 4 Nov 2008 20:42) so keep posting and scoring Sean and there is a great chance you'll slip in.

Re: BigCricket Senior Squad

Moreover the series is a bit away so you do have a good chance of coming in if you stay regular. :)

Lol.

Maybe though, depends on who else is an active keeper?

There could be 46 active keepers, I have the highest average in the comp. Including the "star" bats!

And the others aren't active!
