thanks mate, i play in the DVCA and didn't have clue where to check.

are all the grounds shagged down your end of town? they shut 12 grounds last week in our area.

so who will win the 20/20 comp my monies on St Albans/breakwater.

We haven't had any grounds shut this season, but a few (incl ours) has undergone drought proof grass resurfacing with santa anna couch which has kept us off it and a few were done in the past few years so most are in OK condition.

Hopefully St Alban/Breakwater can get up it's where I play;)

It's only the Semi-Final stage:

St Albans/Breakwater v Newcomb

Collendina v Barwon Heads

st albans made 197 tonight , newcomb finished with maybe 80 i think

Re: BPCA 20-20 Winner

St.Albans/Breakwater 8/197 def Newcomb 67

Another pleasing win in this comp, being sent in by Newcomb was surprising and worked in our favor Sean O'Leary and Jason Murray both made hard hitting 50's.

Newcomb never in the chase losing a wicket 1sr ball of the Innings and again on 5th to be 2-3 son Murray picked up and that was just about game over. Ja3 wickets and Ernie Sheridan, Sean Braniff and Chris Jones all chipped in with wickets.

Through to the Final now against either Collendina or Barwon Heads.

Collendina v Barwon Heads Sunday at Collendina.

What happened in the Collendina/ Barwon Heads game?

Re: BPCA 20-20 Winner

BH made 7-146 batting first. Collendina were 4-60 but got the runs in the last over. Good game.

We had it arranged to be played at Geelong cricket clubs main oval on Sun March 7 but Collendina didn't want to play Sunday so it had to go back to a coin toss. Bit of a shame could have been a good evening down there with Mon March 8 being a public holiday:(

Would've also given the winner a chance to celebrate.

Re: BPCA 20-20 Winner

I got an email regarding bad light for 20-20 final Thursday night.

This is what we're facing in the 20-20 final if/when bad light comes into affect, what a shambles this will be. Can anyone work this out

For interrupted matches, 18.5.4 (Calculation of Deciding Score) shall apply. For 18.5.4(a) and (b) replace "25 overs" with "5 overs".

18.5.6)
Calculation of Deciding Score

If the first side is dismissed in less than the set number the remainder shall be deemed to have been received as nil scoring overs and included in the calculation as such. A resulting fraction shall be disregarded. The calculation format is outlined in the tables below.

3 An unfinished over in the first batting side's innings is
counted as a full over
4 To win, the second batting side must pass the deciding
score. If that score is equalled and 25 full overs or more
are received it is a tie. If less than 25 full overs are received and
the second batting side has not passed the deciding score, nor
equalled it in a completed innings, the match is drawn.
5 Details of the first batting side's overs are to be completed
at the interval and the form handed to the Umpires immediately.

(c) When 5 run penalties have been awarded to the side batting first the deciding score shall be determined by excluding those runs from the calculation and then adding them to the calculated figure. If further 5 run penalties are awarded against the side batting second the deciding score shall be increased equally.

Re: BPCA 20-20 Winner

its typical BPCA, but if in doubt just get the clubs to vote on it, the exec committee will cave in to their demands anyway.

Does anyone really understand it? all I'm guessing is there will be a par score at the end of every over after 5 overs in the 2nd inns. Batting 2nd might be the go I think:confused:
